Beautiful shot! That is a Damselfly though. Same "family" of insects as the dragonfly, but a dragonfly is unable to close it's wings like that. Still, they are equally beautiful and you captured this one perfectly!

I "Fav'd" this one from the beginning. Shadows and sharpness be damned, I think it's wonderful! Congrats!

I love this one.... she made me laugh! One tiny silly little detail that bugs me though...... when you do the eyes, don't complete them, then duplicate and flip..... it puts the highlights and shading in opposite directions. I always do the color in the eyes, then after duplicating, I add shading and highlights....

Other than that, this is GREAT!!!! Good luck.

Tis is beautifully done, and I really see what you are going for but didn't the rules say:
"The goal of this contest is simple: Draw a CD, a Record, a Tape, or an 8-track. No other forms of musical recording please."
Wow, if I'd drawn that, they would have pulled it in a heartbeat. They have pulled mine for a whole lot less. Good luck though...it is really well done!!!

That was the first thing I thought to do...well not the red, white and blue thing..... the finger thing.... but I was chicken that it wasn't appropriate content and in keeping with the rules.

This is one of my favorites. My thought is "exterminator" ... but who knows. LOL My only issue with it at all, and this is nit-picking, but I might have raised the contrast slightly and/or lightened it slightly.... not much, but just enough for that extra impact..... just my taste. Still, it is NICELY done!

Cool shot! Looks like a rainstorm while you we caught in a car... the side mirror is a dead giveaway!
