Pretty cool. You might consider cropping it into a vertical orientation, possibly just a little to both sides of the bronze colored, vertical hour glass pillars. This would emphasize a nice abstract/geometric designs, as well as remove most of the distracting DVD in the background.

I like the simplicity of the design.

While what you have done, is probably not against the usual rules, I believe the aim of this contest is to show how well we can photograph white on white, not how to manipulate images to look pure white.

I don't agree with what you say about "art" or "perfect photography".
So, according to your words "art" is not perfect ?

IMHO, It's not because your picture depicts "a guy fixing a vacuum cleaner" that I don't find it a good picture. For me it's because the quality is poor, because absolutely nothing is focussed (where can the eye attention be attracted ?), because the framing is strange, because a fiew elements are disturbing the attention, because for me your force line leads to the vacuum (or here, the main subject should be the body)...
If for you it's not a "photography", don't call it "art" either please !

It creates a very graphic picture but as Kyricom said, the contact between flesh and mercury is dangerous because it enters the pores. Don't do that everyday !

Great photograph, I like the arrangement and the exposure is excellent.

Having looked at the original image in the SBS this looks mostly the result of a particular free filter I can't remember the name of. I could be wrong mind you. Either way it's interesting to me at least...I like images that inspire the viewer's brain to make its own interpretation.
