As time you can obtain a 3D effect in a 2D editor like AE why loosing time modeling in Maya ?

sec. 12. As Mircea say it you can use it on a large font text like Arial and then reverse time.
It give a 3D aspect and has presets like Glass, Bricks and many more. Its very easy to use it

(5 years and 3272 days ago)Have you tried to apply a Noise modifier to slum houses ? Look too perfect geometric for a slum. Noise modifier (not abusive) add realism to a wall or ceiling .

Very good skills. I'm sure you used a camera in Max with less than 40 lens. Thats why image is deformate. I use only camera lens higher than 80 except if I want this special lens effect deform
(5 years and 3283 days ago)Grass is made with VRay hair suppose. Try to assign an original grass picture as bitmap color. This add more color variation and make it more natural.

(5 years and 3305 days ago)If I'm not wrong..your SBS is not very clear. You' ve made in PS those beautiful silhouettes also made a black&white map. You assign RGB photo as materials to a plane in 3DS Max and put the B&W map on Opacity. If I'm not wrong my advice is to make few supplimentary steps to convince everybody is a 3D work. Again, your silhouettes are superbs.

(5 years and 3472 days ago)Reflections are still to strong IMO. Your program ( you still work in Bryce ? ) have for sure settings for specular light or highlight, play with.
Your work is too good to not be perfect.
Making of wing veins with â€create shape†is a great tip. I' m looking since a long time for such an idea.I think i shall modifie the edges with â€Topology†presets. Hope you dont mind if i shall use this tip very soon . Good luck, excellent work

(5 years and 3499 days ago)Very good for a first organic. Even for a second or third The real problem is with lights. You can hide or attenuate modeling errors plaiyng with 2 or 3 fill lights from back. For the moment the left/front light is too strong. Good luck

(5 years and 3544 days ago)very good modeling of the petals.middle of the flower is also very good, is made with hair or with scattered lines ?dont understand why this red shiny material, look artificial. usually reflective materials are used to hide modelling failing but your modeling is excellent. a matte material could give a realistic look.good luck, a good vote from me.

(5 years and 3548 days ago)light is very inspired, create atmosphere. teeth material is too reflective, an ugly reflection of the down lip. brows are excellent to suggest character personality. eyes are not very worked, could be better.an over 60 % vote from me. good luck.

(5 years and 3562 days ago)Beautiful render. Suppose render all those scattered Lines for grass take a lot of time. Hair modifier make the same thing with a grass bitmap but render time is also very long.As a simple suggestion.On light rollon,Advanced Effects there is an option named Projector map. If you click on None and then assign as Bitmap a photo with clouds, the white reflection on the ball will be more realistic. Good luck, excelent work.
(5 years and 3562 days ago)Nice entry and hair render is very good. As a simple opinion maybe you can check if your 3D program have an option named â€exclude†or something like that. Should be on light parameters and allow you to exclude objects from receiving lights or casting shadows. Good luck.

(5 years and 3595 days ago)If you still have the final scene file try one or two render from different position and describe in words what you have done. People dont expect to learn from a beginer SBS, just want to be sure is your work and is made with a 3D program.

Suppose you have a variance of Tile map in displacement. OK.In diffuse few colors . OK. But where is from this damn hair which kill me, is absolute fabulous. (5 years and 3597 days ago)Nope, hair seems to me OK, is normal for a statue. Problem is with eyes. First, look flatten, a problem of specularity or light, second, dont match with the statue idea of hair. And to dont forget: excellent modelling
