HDR can be a great tool author but there does come a point where an image gets over processed. When you start to see halos like we are seeing here you need to adjust some things.
(5 years and 3184 days ago)Looks like a great mural, just wish you had got a better shot.
(5 years and 3226 days ago)The wings probably would have looked better pointing upwards behind her head, at the moment it really doesn't looked joined to the girl....
(5 years and 3239 days ago)I see the girl is rather large for a fairy lol.... im trying to figure out what you are feeding those plants in your garden to hold her up
Goodluck author :P
Corrected links have been supplied by the author:
(5 years and 3240 days ago)http://lisajen-stock.deviantart.com/gallery/3494483?offset=96#/d1g9b06 is the correct link for the fairy
http://toxicsoil.deviantart.com/art/Summer-Garden-200454696 is the correct link for the garden
That's a HUGE fairy!
(5 years and 3240 days ago)i don't think the butterfly wing is on the spot , but i don't have a suggestion about how it would be better hmm
(5 years and 3241 days ago)The flash you used when you took the picture is too contrasting for this image, since the light source is from the sunset behind her. You might be able to offset it a bit if you very slightly darken the dancer layer.
(5 years and 3247 days ago)The edges are a bit too sharp, giving it a "cut and paste" look.
You can't "source" link from your PC, it only uses URL addresses.
May want to crop the bottom a bit, there are still some tree tops showing. Nice photo!
(5 years and 3248 days ago)I still see yellows and blues in this.
(5 years and 3278 days ago)I like the red tones! They really pop out! GL!
(5 years and 3289 days ago)very good start for a wonderful collage, good luck!
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Well it looks better cause of the shape of the girl, but in order to make it stand out more you should adjust the background with levels(ctrl L), making it darker and blur it a bit.
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Instead of that bush for hair i would use these:
http://cgtextures.com/texview.php?id=24807&PHPSESSID=a93838f6f73551a605c8878ac381b63c
It's copyright free, it's already cut and would make a nice touch to the pic, chromatically and volumetrically.
Contest is over, so you can't edit your image no more, but you can make it for yourself and enter it in Mix manipulations contest or in your portfolio.
PS: try dodge & burn to create light & shadow on the body.
Oh, Ranum chick = female model posing for Marcus J. Ranum - brilliant man, kudos to him.
(5 years and 3291 days ago)On deviant whatever user has "stock" in his name, provides his images free to use- but you have to credit him, so read his terms of use. Some ask link with the work or to be informed by mail, etc.
The link i gave you is usable since is mjranum-STOCK.
There's too much going on- the main focus of the composition cannot be distinguished since elements are fighting with eachother= no harmony.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)White element vs black element, both vertical vs green diagonal plant, my brain goes wha..huh !?!
You had a good idea with the back, why not take a photo of someones naked back and warp/ distort the clock on it, play around.
A Ranum chick usually does the trick IF she's not dating any recent / current entry.
But don't rely only on her - you need to do some work as well. Here's a nice back, her name's Candace Nirvana ( wow ):

agrees with Erathion.
(5 years and 3303 days ago)I checked and I guess that rule has been removed.
(5 years and 3304 days ago)I agree with Mark and Josh but there's actually three entries that are clearly yours....You just have to be a little more sure of the image your wanting to show (with three entries so similar it just seems indecisive) Be confident! You have great pictures GL
(5 years and 3304 days ago)I agree though! It's more fun when people can't tell which photos go with which author! Try taking a picture of just one piece of jewlry. Like your one favorite necklace or ring or pair of earings. So that the main focus will be on one thing and can stand out more! Hope to be of some help. GL
(5 years and 3305 days ago)ooooooo I see what you are saying. Ok cool.
(5 years and 3305 days ago)nice shot author...to bad hydrant is not in main focus...best of luck
(5 years and 3305 days ago)It has been removed? I'm gonna have to go back and check.. it should still be there!
(5 years and 3305 days ago)and I can tell you did! Great job but either take a bit more out or add some I think blue... just look at the wood of the fence. That's where you can see the red more where it shouldn't be. You are (to me) almost there but have headed in the right direction!
(5 years and 3305 days ago)As much as I agree with you Kyricom, the "Entering similar Entries" rule has disappeared.
(5 years and 3305 days ago)See if you can find it because I could not and the author is going to think we're liars.
Look at it this way, author. By entering more diverse photos, it shows more creativity in a contest and the best reason the rule was implemented to begin with.,...
..... if you can find it.
ummm... these are nice, but having two entries exactly alike isn't allowed as it compromises anonymity. You should either red-flag yourself and ask them to remove one (which would reduce your entry limit by one for this contest), or go to "edit entries" and upload a different shot. GL
(5 years and 3305 days ago)I would just suggest taking some red out.
(5 years and 3305 days ago)The paper swan is lit from the opposite side of the real one (look at the shadow beneath the real swan's neck).
(5 years and 3318 days ago)Nice job author, looks better!
(5 years and 3319 days ago)The swan still has a lightly blueish tone. I suggest to take a look to this:
(5 years and 3319 days ago)http://www.worth1000.com/tutorials/162206/introduction-to-match-color
It is a very useful tool and may help. The tone is the only flaw I see here
why not putting it on the water..i think that would be better..what do u think?
(5 years and 3320 days ago)It looks a bit floaty at the moment, a bit of shadow on the ground and a few pieces of grass showing infront of the swan would help give it the impression of sitting on the ground.
(5 years and 3320 days ago)Of course you did it intentionally and a great shot it is!!!
(5 years and 3322 days ago)That's great, hell mistakes = innovation. Nothing wrong with admitting to how something was learned and achieved, unless it was illegal.
(5 years and 3325 days ago)Naming your entries nearly identical isn't exactly anonymous
(5 years and 3325 days ago)HOLY COW!!!! Very pretty!
(5 years and 3325 days ago)Beautiful!!!! Love it!
(5 years and 3327 days ago)I would have made it intentional GL!
(5 years and 3328 days ago)I really like the effect, and when I first looked at it I thought it was intentional. I wouldn't own up to the mistake if I were you
(5 years and 3329 days ago)This really draws you in! nice shot and good luck!
(5 years and 3379 days ago)You have a few dirt spots on your sensor
(5 years and 3381 days ago)Awesome!!!!!!!!!
(5 years and 3381 days ago)the pegs aren't really the main focus here.
(5 years and 3381 days ago)Welcome to Pxleyes. You can upload a 'high res' of your jpeg when you submit an entry by ticking the 'Save full resolution image' box.
(5 years and 3381 days ago)You can also edit an entry by clicking on 'My Stuff', then 'My Contest Entries', reloading the image and ticking the 'Save full resolution image' box at the bottom.
Your welcome!
(5 years and 3382 days ago)I like the angel, it adds interest-straightening it would be boring-
(5 years and 3382 days ago)Suggest you upload a high res & straighten your image..
