Great matching of perspectives. I think the edge between her feet and the pavement needs to be stronger, however. And if her shadow is towards us, why is her back lit? Nevertheless, while this may be a cultural contrast, I'm not sure this fits the 'reborn' theme as she could be contemporary despite the source's description of 'primitive.'

You know that scene in Terminator 2 where the T1000 get's up from the floor and all the metal slips together? You already have the right material for it, but for me it's not convincing yet that this robot is actually coming from that blue blob. You used some liquify for the blob stuff, I'd do the same for the terminator itself. Let the 2 images really smoothly get fall into each other, like you barely see 2 images anymore. Also, use the volume of the blue stuff, connect it better with the robot's body. Worth the try! Good luck!

Even if the images do not have URLs, rules say you have to show the uncut images (by screen capture) from the DVD or source. Any proof you can find that you are authorized to use the images is good. My question is why you changed the waves and shading (between steps 6 & 7) - original (step 6 and earlier) gave nice texture and contrast that's lost in final. There's also something about the light on the wings. Not as noticable in color, but the dark version looks like light is behind wings, when true source is upper left.

Your entry may look similar to the lesson, it's okay, it doesn't matter. Everything has process, next you'll find your own style.
