Wonderfull idea! I guess some blur and light effects could be added to the iguana to make it look colorful. not transparent) good job anyway!

Very good work, but going to the partial black and white removes the reality of your work...that really distracts, to me, but it's your work so, keep what you like for sure.

Author.. the add on of color in is a bit overly dramatic and pushes the image to the surreal, if this was your intent then kudo's, but I think the plain black and white is a nice finish by it's self.. excellent work in the SBS but I think the mouth work is a bit over done.. she's a little long in tooth if you get my drift.. still very good work here.. I would remove the text just because Your work is MUCH more important..and the text can be distracting when placed directly into the picture or on it..IMHO.. good luck on this
(Take my suggestion with a grain of Salt.. I'm amazed at the result (I love it) but I'm thinking mainly of the contest goal (Your work is SPECTACULAR)(I really want to pinch her nose..hehehe)

simple work.

If you look closely at the image you can tell where it's been masked, to solve this you could try dodging the outline of the bit that you clone stamped. Other than that, really good! The simplicity of the image just makes it stand out all the more!

Good idea. Slightly better in hi-res (spherical nature of the earth more obvious). Lighting a problem: where is the illumination of the earth coming from?
