Yes, that feeling of rush has been conveyed nicely....and how serendipitous that her bag says "DASH".
(5 years and 377 days ago)I wonder if anyone will comment on the tilt, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I too tilt images as this out of the box thinking helps to propel ordinary into another realm. We can feel the speed of your daughter's shopping spree and the joy and freedom of being able to purchase with aplomb goods that many in this world could never dream of purchasing.
(5 years and 381 days ago)There is something magical that happens when nature meets humanity, a secret communication of respect and love and that is what we see in this lovely photograph. The colours are perfect her plaid shawl suitable for the outdoors, reminiscent of a lumberjack and that Whiskey Jack is quite enthralled with her gentleness and beauty. Top notch.
(5 years and 387 days ago)Congrats to you too!
(5 years and 389 days ago)Although the finish product here is good, can,t help but feel b/w wpould have been more hard hitting
(5 years and 389 days ago)I like old buildings like this... nice capture..is it abandoned?
(5 years and 397 days ago)I really am drawn to the dappled effect of these stairs and the glow for it makes them otherworldly. What a great catch for this fine art photograph!
(5 years and 397 days ago)Congrats
(5 years and 416 days ago)Congrats! Looks so Canadian...brrrrr.
(5 years and 417 days ago)Canada has legalized pot ! (did you get it)
(5 years and 417 days ago)Hahahahahahaha... that's hilarious Olga.
(5 years and 417 days ago)I knew it was Ottawa because of all the marijuana growing around the boardwalk!
(5 years and 417 days ago)Looks a lot like Point Peely (sp?) south western Ontario. Nicely composed with good lead lines. Sharp through all the planes of the image. Good usage of dof!
(5 years and 417 days ago)I am curious about what is growing all around the boardwalk?
(5 years and 418 days ago)Nice shot and P.P.
(5 years and 419 days ago)A lovely camaraderie is caught here in the interaction these fellows are having, after the call. Nice photo . hmmmm 911....must be Canadian!
(5 years and 420 days ago)A Monet painting for sure! Good eye for seeing this beauty.
(5 years and 425 days ago)Certainly interaction between the firemen,tells a story
(5 years and 427 days ago)Does look a healthy thing to do,even if its a bit cold
(5 years and 427 days ago)Likke this one and looks quite a unique place
(5 years and 427 days ago)My computer has a crazy ghost controlling it....sorry.
(5 years and 625 days ago)Every big girl has done this when they were a little girl so we females can all relate to the story of this image. You do have significant ghosting around the child due to the strong white light bouncing off her dress.

(5 years and 625 days ago)How interesting that the Swede's flag is blue and yellow and so is this Swede's shoe! Classy and shot at the pov that engages the viewer instantly. I wonder had you cropped down a bit more if that would make the shoe pounce out at us even more? The marginal Negative space at the top is quite pronounced. This photo reminds me of medieval torture, how painful it would be to walk in these shoes.
(5 years and 625 days ago)Congrats for this one
(5 years and 682 days ago)Congrats!
(5 years and 683 days ago)Staged and well done. You have found a great character to shoot and wow what a story this tells. She hears the beat of a different drummer and there is no foolin around. I like this for the story, the look of the model, the colour palette, the light from the window...heck I like everything about this shot.
(5 years and 685 days ago)I wish I could tell you on how to improve this image...I CAN"T...beautiful in sepia, showing great skin tones, diffused background and I think the crop is perfect with her looking into all that negative space. This is a well thought out image with technical elements nicely handled.
(5 years and 685 days ago)Yes, I saw that ship, didn't know it was a cruise ship tho'.
(5 years and 687 days ago)EGADS this is really lovely. I love the colours and the night shot...makes it rather romantic...you romantic you.
(5 years and 688 days ago)Think this has been thought through, and although there is negative space, the fact she is looking that way, adds a good effect.
(5 years and 689 days ago)I like the softish light in this and like the impish look in her eyes, different
(5 years and 689 days ago)Good image. Beautiful, thoughtful face and nice 'soft' background. Might it be better with some of the right hand area cropped out so that the image was square?
(5 years and 691 days ago)Great character - good light on the folds of her dress. You wouldn't mess with this lady.
(5 years and 691 days ago)I bet I could eat this whole thing in one sitting. When we come back to Canada, we will visit you when your wife makes this decadent delight. A splendid upload that is sharp and delightful to behold. I also like how you included all the surrounding information, candle, classy table setting.
(5 years and 747 days ago)I just don't understand how any hunter can see this beauty and kill it....unless you are a First Nation (what a dopey PC title). ooops I'm rambling. I love this shot, the Canadian feel to it and the focal point sharp, so sharp it melts my heart. Your exposure is really well done too for that deer is crystal clear.
(5 years and 747 days ago)I have checked to see if you have a blow out on the white and you do not! It is simply a delightful image that would make a great Xmas card. I love the mood you caught, the bokeh is perfect and the colour coordination is sublime. I have a feeling this could take first spot.
(5 years and 747 days ago)Oh gosh, this would make a great Xmas card. How much these two are loved is so felt upon viewing. Nice that you came down to their level. I do think it is a bit soft but sometimes when you have such sweet focal points we have to ask ourselves, does it matter?
(5 years and 747 days ago)So cute
(5 years and 754 days ago)That looks GREAT! *drool*
(5 years and 754 days ago)Yes, I seem to remember something "special" about them. Thank you for enlightening me. I like the tonal quality of your image you have a good range there.
(5 years and 754 days ago)OH OH OH OH ONTARIO. Are these trillium considered endangered?
(5 years and 755 days ago)It is difficult to judge the sharpness because the image is very (too) small...
(5 years and 761 days ago)Achhhh, I see it now but it is a "tow away zone" sign....no big deal. thanks
(5 years and 767 days ago)Attached to the aluminium post, it is white with a red circle, over the white haired and bearded man.
(5 years and 768 days ago)EGADS Sylvie, I can't find the sign, where is it?
(5 years and 768 days ago)Toronto indeed, you can read it on the "no vending except by city permit" sign. Maybe it was on the No Cellphone Day. Maybe some people are hiding, texting or giving phone calls, behind the pillars. I suspect the walking backpacker, and they could be 3 or 4 behind the big concrete thingy.
(5 years and 769 days ago)What, nobody is on their cellphone? What century was this taken and where - Toronto? Just curious as this could be my old home town.
