I think you used too much flash, causing a lot of noise in high res. I would definitely try to take another shot at it if I were you.

Just because an image is on theme, doesn't make it a good entry. Remember all aspects of the photo and not just if it matches the theme, i.e., focus, color, lighting, etc.

It's a great theme match but really grainy in high res.

and, if my memory is correct, it was before the crash!

Seems a little simple, I think a better shot using the same subject would have been a macro of one but all 4 burners on with then glowing in the background but that's jsut IMO.

Thanks for the info. You're probably more right about folks knowing about it though. My international travel (unfortunately) is extremely limited. Maybe I can fix that now that my youngest son will be moving out soon.

I kind of agree with Ray on the tree being the main focus but the bird appears to be in focus, even in high res, in fact it looks better in high res. It's an intruiging shot because the tree has all these weird branches that are just kind of growing everywhere and I can see why someone could not hemp to like this shot. So good luck!
