You could have piled all of it. That would have worked. I just think that in just such a theme, trying lots of different POVs is not a bad idea. Maybe different lighting.

The photo seems to lack depth. I think a different POV would have helped. (different angle of the garbage)

It's a nice image but the city is extremely subtle.

I have to say I agree with Ade on this one. Contest guidelines did specify show some kind of cityscape in the background and and this image just doesn't show it.

at momvera, not necessarily, I have seen avenues like this that are not parks, but roads or lanes leading to big houses. The lack of anything else in the shot does not help the case.

It is nothing in the background ade, but so strait alley itself evidence that it is manmade park , not a wild nature. IMHO, of course.

It's a colorful shot, might want to bump up the saturation, however in high res it is slightly out of focus. I'm sure this is definitely some kind of park. Where's the city?

Yeah, it'll look great when she's 60. (I wish I could live another 60 years or so just to see... the people today are going to be the most butt-ugly old people who ever walked the earth. Faded, stretched tattoos. Holes from piercings all over. Get to watch stuff squirt out of their cheeks and chins when they take a drink. It'll be a riot! )

Crop out the head on the right and it will be on theme and an interesting entry. only one person allowed in the shot.

It;s better but I think you might have brought the contrast down too much. It just looks a little faded now. Also try leveling the table, for with this photo it would serve as your horizon line.
