I think a different point of view, closer to the medals would have greatly improved your shot. A better idea would have been to put a lower perspective. Someone wearing the medals would have been good too. It just seems rare that strait down shots like this one can tend to look a little flt flat most of the time. Just for future reference, try playing around with different lighting and point of view.

I was thinking the same thing but unique idea. Maybe next time work on your perspective, give your subject (the cards) more focus . Definitely successful if you can hit a royal flush. Very, very rare. GL!
