I wouldn't increase the contrast, it would make the highlights WAY to bright, I would just play around with the curve to make the drays darker so you don't loose detail in the highlights, which you already have, but great idea.

no, what you should do is play with the curves to try and get details in the highlights, otherwise you loose the interesting detail of the leaves and the water droplets on them

lol, love the humor and light heartiness of the photo (though it isn't fun for the bird I'm sure)

I love how you lined up the horizon of of the background with the one in the glass

There may be dark parts of the photo, but it is still WAY to bright. The flare you have takes up almost half the photo, plus, you can barely see the clouds. That would be a great shot, if it weren't for that big ol patch of white in it

Not trying to sound like a downer, but I'm not too impressed with the shot. I love the backlit clouds. They are just beautiful, but the sunburst is literally an eyesore for me.With the white outlining of the clouds and the white of the sun, it's a bit too much for my eyes to adjust from the dark to light so fast. But again, those clouds, beautiful. The first thing that popped into my mind when I saw them was "someone found the silver lining in the clouds"

I love how even though you have the bright red, there is enough gray that the photo is still dark, but has a little flare to it. Great job!

It's a bit bright don't you think?? Last time I check, pure hues were quite bright. Don't get me wrong, I'm in love with this photo, in total envy of you for capturing this beautiful moment, but I don't think it is appropriate for this contest.

I don't think you had to crop a photo, and as a result of so much cropping, your photo is very low res, blurry, which is made even more obvious by comparing it to the original. Also, the crop, not flattering at all to the boys face. The slight tilt throws the balance of the photo off, with a close crop, symmetry is very flattering to the composition. And another issue with the cropping is once all the greens left the photos, the red stand out twice as much now, so you might want to change that. Has potential, just needs a little work.

I did not realize what this was until I read the title. Judging from the title, you want people to know that this is a feather, but the crop and angle don't show enough to clarify that. Or, you could be going for an abstract kind of view, which would keep the viewer guess, I think this is a great abstract shot, I'm just not sure if that is what you were going for or not.

Your horizon line is off, it's a beautiful backlighting shot, I just find the tilted horizon a bit distracting. Whenever you have a visible horizon line in a photo, even in selective focus and macro shots, not just landscapes, you have to be really aware of how level your camera is. Luckily out of all the possibilities that could be wrong with your photo, slightly tilted is the easiest to fix. You might wanna look more closely at your photos on your screen. I find it helpful to spot silly mistakes like that after you put the photo away for a day or to, get it out of your mind, and revisit it.

I love what you have captured here, but I'm not liking the composition too much. The reflection is amazing, but it throws the picture off. All that space above the bird is empty for the most part, while below the bird has a small shape. That throws the composition off balance. Also, the black strip at the top is kinda ugly because it looks like a retarded vignetting. This has real potential, the soft calm neutral colors just bring out how peacefully the bird is flying. It's a quite gorgeous scene you have captured here, you just need a few minor tough ups to really make it special.

I agree, it would be a lot nicer if you cropped it a bit more. The first thing you are supposed to notice about the photo is the hat, and at first, all I saw was dirt. Love the contrast of the texture between the hat and dirt, but you need a little more hat and a little less and this shot would be perfect.

This isn't quite rule of thirds. The object is a little too far over the the left. Objects don't have to be on the third line, they can occupy the third space, but only if there is something else in the photo to balance it out. YOu don't in your case, so the photo is off spacial wise. If you cropped it down a little more it would be perfect. It is an amazing abstract piece, you have me sitting here wondering what the heck is that and gawking at the color contrasts.

Love the depth of detail in this photo, I also like how it has character from the subject and composition. Also, it is balanced with one end being darker and the other lighter. Great job^_^.

This is an amazing shot for rule of thirds! I love how you have multiple, not just one object lined on the third section! Very well composed! Congrats!

I really like the colors, and I especially like how the focusing on the drops blurs the background and makes it look like a painting. When I first saw this, I really thought it was a painting!

actually, you will get a greenish overtone sometimes with long exposures when certain parts have a different lighting. It's a white balance issue. You don't have consistent lighting over your scene. Sometimes you'll get different tones with different lengths of exposures. Reciprocity is a wonderful thing.

I agree, this image is stunning, but the eyes are almost gray. When I first saw this image, I thought there was no color at first. So increasing the saturation of the eye would be very beneficial to this photo

I love this piece, and I even love the fact that you put your style in it. There are so many artist on here that are recognizable by their works. Once you post enough photos, people will begin to recognize your style, plus, it takes talent to create a series of pieces in the same style, but have each one be it's own piece, I also think it takes a lot of talent for an artist to be diverse, but I think it is easier to be diverse than consistent. I really admire your work, your abstract thinking, and the way to twist and bend the rules. People forget that at isn't inside a box.
