Wow! Clean sweep! Congratulations!
(5 years and 682 days ago)It's interesting how we can have opposite reactions to a shot. Although I appreciate what you were trying to accomplish, I had the same kind of feeling as when we get a power line in a picture. That said, the detail on the rope is on the money.
(5 years and 941 days ago)The colors in the background really make the focal area more pronounced. An unexpected shot made most effective.
(5 years and 941 days ago)Interesting pov. Makes me wonder what's on the other side.
(5 years and 941 days ago)Great sense of motion here.
(5 years and 941 days ago)The colors and textures are magnificent.
(5 years and 941 days ago)Perfect time of day to make the colors jump.
(5 years and 956 days ago)Exceptional detail. I especially like the wear on the bag.
(5 years and 964 days ago)This is wonderful. Never seen anything like it!
(5 years and 964 days ago)These things are extremely hard to catch while still. Most impressive!
(5 years and 970 days ago)A feeling we would all want to have!
(5 years and 970 days ago)Captivating. Even without knowing what it is, the multiplicity of shadows makes this work.
(5 years and 970 days ago)Congratulations! Great intensity.
(5 years and 976 days ago)I'm intrigued. Are they throwing sand?
(5 years and 979 days ago)Nice collection! The birder in me is impressed you got such a clear shot of the kildeer.
(5 years and 979 days ago)I probably shouldn't keep a bowl of these on my desk. People keep making excuses to "talk." Great example of a guilty pleasure!
(5 years and 979 days ago)I don't usually expect someone to be supine while getting a haircut. Is anesthesia included? I like that you also caught the pictures of hairstyles on the back wall. There's a lot going on here and it works well!
(5 years and 979 days ago)It reminds me of an old Twilight Zone episode.
(5 years and 985 days ago)Beautiful! Congratulations.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Congratulations! Great entry.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Nice to see you in something other than a small icon! I love the effect of the blinds and know how difficult it is to make sure that eyes are not in the shadows.
(5 years and 992 days ago)The story here for me is the choice of languages for the different messages. I understand that there may be things you wanted to exclude, explaining the very tight cropping, but I could have used a little more breathing space.
(5 years and 993 days ago)Thanks for the description of how you got this shot. All of the green tones make this most effective.
(5 years and 993 days ago)Clever. And a great excuse to pay with Legos. Nicely positioned with good blending of color. I'm really glad you left this soft. Stark detail would have ruined the mood.
(5 years and 993 days ago)Pleased to meet you, Dmitry. I'm enjoying every part of this photograph, from the setting to the casual pose. Some people "love the camera" and your daughter is clearly one of those!
(5 years and 993 days ago)The coder's concentration is nicely evident here and I like that the computer screen doesn't suffer from the washout or reflections we often get.
(5 years and 993 days ago)I don't know who looks more pleased. You did a nice job of catching the mood of the moment.
(5 years and 994 days ago)Somebody needs to ask, so it might as well be me. Is this one of the spice girls? This was a great idea and well executed. Wish I had thought of it.
(5 years and 994 days ago)You really got me thinking on this one. I'm trying to decide whether or not the blue sky takes away from your excellent coloration of the ocean. If the sky were all gray, the horizon might be overly sharp. I'll like to see what would happen if you had the sky gray with the exception of the marine layer, leaving that in a subdued blue. Any picture that makes me think that long is a success!
(5 years and 994 days ago)What strikes me the most is the white splotches under foot. That's a nice attention to detail.
(5 years and 994 days ago)She may be blue now, but with all that Cetaphil, her complexion will be fabulous! The white lettering makes a great contrast to the blue hoodie.
(5 years and 994 days ago)I usually think of this technique as highlighting something within the picture. You have taken this to an unexpected level by essentially creating a frame using the color. Most effective!
(5 years and 994 days ago)Is this the same picture you posted a month or so ago? I remember a similar one that I simply loved.
(5 years and 994 days ago)Ha ha. Your description is starting to sound like the song! I just hope we never get a contest about the red queen...
(5 years and 996 days ago)Good explanation. Makes sense.
(5 years and 996 days ago)Seeing that picture, "irrational" never came to mind!
(5 years and 996 days ago)Congratulations! Some pharmaceutical company is going to grab it, as well they should.
(5 years and 996 days ago)Congrats! Very well done.
(5 years and 996 days ago)The fact that there remains such texture on the jacket is most impressive.
(5 years and 996 days ago)The blue bottle cap was a great touch. It makes the photo for me.
(5 years and 996 days ago)What a hysterical photo! The white of the rabbit stands out in stark contract to the colorful dress. I'd like to see a little more definition of the rabbit...one of the disadvantages of a shot that is straight on. That said, I admire that you stopped her to ask for the picture.
(5 years and 996 days ago)The hands are great and would make a great focal point. I'm just not a fan of crotch shots.
(5 years and 996 days ago)There's so much to like here. The various reflections in the sunglasses are wonderful.
(5 years and 996 days ago)My first reaction was wondering what this would have looked like in color. You capture the flurry of activity well but I keep getting distracted by the foliage. Perhaps cropping the top a bit?
(5 years and 996 days ago)You captured the allure of a street performer. The children are enthralled and the adults are oblivious.
(5 years and 997 days ago)Wonderful mood. You certainly captured the meaning of the song. It's too bad that the foliage is is stronger focus than their faces.
(5 years and 997 days ago)The fact that she is alone in the picture really eliminates any distractions. My first thought was that someone would come up to her and say "this is a store, not a library."
(5 years and 999 days ago)Good detail all around and I like the artistry of the book arrangement. The image is really crisp, enough that for me it was almost jarring.
(5 years and 999 days ago)Nicely cropped to how the girls' reactions in the broader context. I did think it could be lightened up at bit, since the boy's expression gets lost a bit.
(5 years and 999 days ago)I like the concept of the receding tree line. My only suggestion is that bottom of the greenery not catch the bride at eye level. Taken either a little higher or lower would have created better focus for me on their faces.
