I don't think the defocus works here, IMO.

Everything tangible has a texture. This would be the "smooth" plastic of the individual keys, or kind of "bumpy" for all the keys together.

If I were you I would see it that way...

Texture refers to the properties held and sensations caused by the external surface of objects received through the sense of touch.........Unless you are referring to the feel of the plastic surface of the keys, then this is a pattern, not a texture!

this is really cool except the the lower left corner is way out of focus. If it were used for an actual pattern or texture, the whole image would need to be focused.

Nice texture here but the glass decreases the clarity of the photo (in high-resolution)
May be you should take a shot with out the glass & see the difference.
Maybe it's better with out the glass.

Well, let's go... In hi res it's possible to notice a fine white line around the egg; so it means you need to mask/chop it better... And the way it is now, the egg seems a bit flat; how about using warp tool around it and some burn tool on lower side, to give it roundness?
