nice !
(5 years and 3591 days ago)It would be better changing the perspective of the road, considering the view of the car...
(5 years and 3592 days ago)Cute. But the road needs to be scrunched down significantly (probably roughly to the bottom of the tire rims) to make its vanishing point match that of the vehicle (which also needs to be matched by the crease in the vehicle's front bumper thingee). The shadow where the wheels touch the road needs to be much darker to eliminate the floating look (more evident in hi-res). The forward edges of tires are odd and don't seem to match the perspective of the car body.
(5 years and 3592 days ago)Very nice image the tire spots bugged me a little though they seem to down play the rest. ; )
(5 years and 3592 days ago)Pretty cool
(5 years and 3592 days ago)great work, but as the previous entry. the goal of this contest is to show two opposite sides of the same person.
(5 years and 3593 days ago)interesting and original
(5 years and 3593 days ago)Great work!!!!
(5 years and 3594 days ago)Congrats!!
(5 years and 3596 days ago)Congrats for your third place, Erathion!
(5 years and 3596 days ago)very nice
(5 years and 3596 days ago)cool!
(5 years and 3597 days ago)very nice picture
(5 years and 3597 days ago)Author: Cool. I wasn't sure if you'd done it on purpose. I think that it's great! Good idea throwing off the symetry with that.
(5 years and 3597 days ago)I like it especially the owl
(5 years and 3598 days ago)THis could have been done by Magritte, though perhaps he wouldnt have used a lens flare and rainbow colored ladder. For the rest pretty good on theme. Good luck!
(5 years and 3598 days ago)Shadows are fine. The light radiates from an obvious central object. And @ Martrex: read the FAQ. An entry doesn't need to have a SBS unless it is created solely from the PXL source with no outside sources. An entry with a decent SBS will usually get better votes, though...
(5 years and 3598 days ago)I like this one
(5 years and 3598 days ago)reminds me of a tutorial on the top secret photoshop dvd
(5 years and 3599 days ago)yea i agree with cmyk46 especially around th mouth {could use more blending} also and the left side of face kinda looks as if its off of the face a liitle
(5 years and 3599 days ago)Pay more attention to edges, especially around the eyes...shadows, too.
(5 years and 3599 days ago)cool
(5 years and 3599 days ago)Nicely done GL
(5 years and 3599 days ago)Nice job, the eye's look great. Bit wrinkley for a wow girl though :P. Good luck
(5 years and 3599 days ago)Edit: Nice drawing work too
Now I'm new here but what I don't understand is why usually everyone yells when there isn't a step by step how I did it. Then other times not a peep from the same people who usually toot the horn loudly??? Newbie wondering??
(5 years and 3600 days ago)Cool.....
(5 years and 3600 days ago)Owl shadow is a little undigestable other than that....beautiful work....
(5 years and 3600 days ago)Shadows are in different directions but a nice image....Nice work...
(5 years and 3601 days ago)Nice image.
(5 years and 3601 days ago)There's another image in this contest that uses a checkerboard floor. It's a great idea and you will find that the vast majority of renaissance paintings use some type of checkerboard pattern in the floor/ground to give the illusion of depth. Called an orthogonal grid. The problem with this image is that the angle of the checkerboard is such that you don't get that illusion because the vanishing points of the checkers is to the left and right of the vanishing point of the rest of the image. However, if this is your intention the image is fantastic. I am particularly fond of the lollypops.
(5 years and 3601 days ago)@Ray Tedwell: I see it. The empty chair represents (his) absense. The Owl represents his flight. The watermelon represents the sweetness of her memory of him. The hand is the persistance of this memory as it hangs over her head. Not random at all IMHO. Very nice work, Author.
(5 years and 3601 days ago)shadows fall two different directions... great image though! GL!
(5 years and 3601 days ago)Beautiful composition...
(5 years and 3602 days ago)Tough one given that this is surrealism, but this looks a bit more like placement of random images than a really surreal image (just imho). The colours all blend well and I love the watermelon , just fix the shadows
(5 years and 3602 days ago)Bad shadows...looks like 3 different light sources, but the mood is good.
(5 years and 3602 days ago)cool stuff going on, GL!
(5 years and 3602 days ago)Nice job!
(5 years and 3602 days ago)Cool image
(5 years and 3603 days ago)shadows would add depth.
(5 years and 3603 days ago)I think CMYK was right about the lighthouse.
(5 years and 3604 days ago)It seems that this contest was geared at just making 1 door.
(5 years and 3604 days ago)Shadows?
(5 years and 3604 days ago)nice concept...n awesome colors composition...........
(5 years and 3604 days ago)Pretty ....
(5 years and 3604 days ago)This is pretty but dimensions are bit difficult to digest...
(5 years and 3607 days ago)Different approach but looks quiet simple i guess...But all of them are beautiful...
(5 years and 3607 days ago)this is pretty, in a creepy morbid way .. wives tale says 2 crows mean death....
(5 years and 3607 days ago)Girl is too small, light is from the right, solighthouse should be flipped to match...
(5 years and 3607 days ago)I think you should make the girl bigger..she looks tiny weeeny
(5 years and 3607 days ago)The girl is very small, and the smallest crow should be a bit smaller. The lighthouse doesn;t seem to fit in too well to the background, perhaps a colour overlay above your image for blending? Good luck!
