love the idea, to give you some about my observations, the cutout of the birdhouse is at some places a bit choppy.. perhaps you cna fix this by running a very small soft blur brush over the edges. the light from the top "door" is showing on top of the roof.. technically this aint possible. the smaller one on the far left seems floating, i like the feeling you gave to the piece tho

I like this too! If you want to do more improvements you could change the colour tone on the birdhouse roof (a bit more warmth). That would bring even more of that yellow mystique to the image.

Interesting image, the hummingbird looks a tad small and i don;t like the repetition of lighter brown along the sides of the birdhouse, but nice image otherwise (and great idea!) Good luck.
