Interesting. With the B&W creating a pattern between the pipe and the ground, you might try rotating the shot 90 degrees counterclockwise - putting the shadow unexpectedly on top

Yes, it is very difficult to take a shot to a red object.... but the composition is very good. Good luck !

I really love the look of this one, but it does loose a few points because all detail in the poppies are lost.

The owl looks like he has redhey, not just because his eyes are red.
