I liked your previous version better. It's hard to make out all your hard work (especially in Low res) on the details and the background doesn't looks roughly pasted. I'll cast my vote partly on your previous work and the SBS however.

If someone voted on your other image, they now know who made this image so you are kind of giving you the author away.

What do you mean noone? - you have! The precision of the work on the cow is remarkable, well done!! I wouldn't have resisted making the horns orange though
There is one thing that I don't like very much about the image: the Lens Flare. It is too bright or, in this case, big - the white pixels from the lens flare eat up the colours and the saturation in the image. Maybe you could make it smaller or change the type. If you are asking me, I would've gotten rid of the lens flare altogether and would've put a nice BIG and BRIGHT moon - positioning above and a little to the left from the cow's head.

you really should submit an SBS.. the work detail is facinating.. would like to see the steps (it would also help in voiting).. very wonderful job.. and you are right.. the HIGH res is a thousand times better.. GOOD LUCK

The oval things are two dimensional...

I think the image peaking out from the back is a boo boo (I can see poloroid edging in the high res... and if you could brighten the whole image that would be super.. other then that.. the image is quite wonderful.. great IDEA

Nice idea, maybe add a nice reflective metally-plastic texture? that's just me, the grey isn't doing wonders. Good luck!
