It all depends how you did the editing.If you selected areas and edited then it's not allowed. if you just just dodge and burn, then it's allowed.

Image seems to have a vignette, which is not allowed, I would also remove some of the blue, as it detracts from the cheerfulness of the image, or even turn it into black and white.

Great shot for a phone, and you haven't done anything wrong, You don't have much choice with a phone camera. I can only suggest that you keep trying, in some situations the photos will be great in others not. Keep trying and you will find out where it works.

all the covers there are in front of something, making it seem part of the background.The flower one does that too, perhaps not brilliantly, but it does incorporate the background.
You photo has only added something to the top of the cover. I hope this explains my thinking.

You need to work a little on your lighting, Too much light on the cheese, if it wasn't for the title, we might not even know it's cheese.
