I think there's too much going on in this shot and you should crop it closer. Everything else distracts from the subject and the chair they are sitting on.

No offence, but I'm trying to see the artistic value in the portrayal. The ships in the horizon are more interesting than the oil spill in the water. Can you see where I'm coming from?

It's a great idea but the POV could have been from a different angle and greatly improved the shot. Perhaps shooting lower to the ground and putting your focus more on the center of the puddle, creating more of a depth of field.
