Great picture and title
(5 years and 1049 days ago)A simple gate with a strong statement thanks to all the supporting greenery and that warm tone is quite exciting. Level, well balanced , nicely seen, sharp, good tonal ranges and nicely contrasted. Looks to me like a piece of heaven.
(5 years and 1050 days ago)Congratulations!
(5 years and 1051 days ago)Congratulations
(5 years and 1051 days ago)Congrats, it is a great shot.
(5 years and 1051 days ago)Very funny photo. It looks as if every bird's mouth is dropped seeing the new little one
(5 years and 1052 days ago)Beautiful
(5 years and 1052 days ago)Sweet, now why couldn't I have thought of that? Where do you get your ideas from, is there something you do, somewhere you go? (a special link). Perfect for a little girl....or a big little girl.
(5 years and 1052 days ago)This is a strong image from the perspective of story line, we surely can read into this "domestic argument" and it makes us smile. I also think that your point of view brings this straight to us without muss or fuss. A very clear and well taken photograph with sharpness and contrast present and exposure is technically perfect. This is top notch.
(5 years and 1053 days ago)Like your post processing and the punch of the focal point.
(5 years and 1053 days ago)You sure get around don't you. Lovely capture, warm and exotic. Thumbs up.
(5 years and 1053 days ago)Like it, good focus with a background that supports the image .
(5 years and 1053 days ago)A gustatory and visual delight. Well done.
(5 years and 1053 days ago)Nice, I like it.
(5 years and 1053 days ago)I think the post processing done on this image propels it into the OH WOW realm. A photo that tells a story and delights us with eye candy.
(5 years and 1053 days ago)Oh my this is good. The message is clear as is the photograph and you have all the elements in there to tell the story of what is yet to be born. I like the angle as well, balanced with good marginal space all round this is a most pleasant image to view.
(5 years and 1053 days ago)This little girl looks to be surrounded by all she loves. Including someone who loves her enough to take her picture.
(5 years and 1054 days ago)still26 does a nice job in his/her comments; talking about visual weight and such when all I can seem to muster is, wow, cool, very nice. So.....wow.
(5 years and 1054 days ago)Love the braces as it really adds to the story. Nice black out of background and full focus on that medication. Sharp and well balanced with good visual weight from photographic elements on both sides of frame.
(5 years and 1054 days ago)that is sooooo cool
(5 years and 1056 days ago)Wow!!!
(5 years and 1057 days ago)Gorgeous!!! Congratulations!!!
(5 years and 1057 days ago)That' mixing your chocolate with your peanut butter. Way to go.
(5 years and 1057 days ago)Congrats on win,i liked this one
(5 years and 1058 days ago)Congrats on this win!
(5 years and 1058 days ago)Congrats!
(5 years and 1059 days ago)I make a test with -15% of saturation : it's much better
(5 years and 1059 days ago)It's too much, I think it is necessary to reduce the saturation of the colors to regain in definition.
(5 years and 1059 days ago)Disagree, I need a whole bottle a drop wouldn't do it.
Again a real pro touch to this image.
(5 years and 1060 days ago)YES YES YES YES YES YES YES. My kinda ad, colourful and truthful.
(5 years and 1060 days ago)You images of these products carry a very professional touch to them. Nicely done.
(5 years and 1060 days ago)welldone.
(5 years and 1060 days ago)No kidding! I wish I could see the finished product.
(5 years and 1061 days ago)There's a tough job
(5 years and 1062 days ago)Love this one such a great close-up this
(5 years and 1062 days ago)I'm impressed that you were able to get the three faces in such close proximity to one another. The shadows on the sculpture really make it pop. And even in the sunlight, the whole photo is really well exposed. I just find myself wanting to pull her hair back a bit to get a better idea of how close he was to completion.
(5 years and 1063 days ago)There are a lot of things I like about this presentation: the general layout, the way the blue plate's color is caught on the candlestick and the overall coloring/mood. It's an interesting choice to have the crackers themselves out of focus. I'm not sure what to think about that.
(5 years and 1063 days ago)Sparkles with exactness of angles. Warm in colour palette and zen like in cleanliness. Love the added angles found in the shoji. Sharp and clear and takes us in.
(5 years and 1063 days ago)A most powerful piece. The antithesis of "welcoming" as you note in your title.
(5 years and 1063 days ago)The placement of the tombstone tells the story of age very well.
(5 years and 1063 days ago)Let me, as a mod, respond to this and clarify.

(5 years and 1063 days ago)You are right that we allow small alterations like you mentioned. However this does not include cloning, the healing brush and so on which make alterations on parts of the entry AKA selective editing. One can not remove parts of an entry and replace it with something else.
In our Pxleyes Guide, which you can find here: http://www.pxleyes.com/courses/pxleyes-guide/ it states on page 12:
"As a general rule, you are allowed to all adjustments which act on the whole picture and on exactly one picture (a.k.a. non selective editing)."
Rule 6.4 makes some exceptions on that but it does not include selective editing.
Hopefully this clears some questions you might have on our rules
The mods will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you are allowed to make small alterations. "6.4.: Small alterations to photos are allowed; removing dead pixels, color adjustments, B&W conversion and so on."
(5 years and 1064 days ago)Excellent attention to detail on the food presentation. The juxtaposition of the product on the plate to the can ties everything in very well. I also like how you can read the 5 star rating, important for some but not the primary message. Before submitting to the client, there are a couple of small marks on the label that could be touched up. Very successful even though, unlike still, I don't care for chick peas.
(5 years and 1064 days ago)I really like the 'artistic' feel to this not only in the placement of the fruit and it's colour but by the white vignette that surrounds it. Sharp , clear, and juicy. SOLD
(5 years and 1064 days ago)This photo has a professional touch to it. I happen to love chick peas.
(5 years and 1064 days ago)Santorini has some stunning churches and you convey that with this, was this in OIA
(5 years and 1064 days ago)Ahhh this is good. The contest asks for places of worship and KAPOW here you have a well exposed little church sitting somewhere in Crete that caught your eye while you were on vacation there. It is a solid photograph with an interesting lead line in diagonal to take us to a thoughtfully composed photograph.
(5 years and 1064 days ago)This image looks like art done by Canadian artist Coleville, and that is supposed to be a compliment. Perfectly clear it is photographic art for all it nees is a matte, frame, your signature and a nice place to hang this.
(5 years and 1064 days ago)I like everything about this photograph. The story is clear, as is the photo and her art rocks, it is too bad you sliced off her hands and tools tho'.
(5 years and 1064 days ago)Intriguing color combination, but I think it works. For selling fresh fruit, blemishes on the peel detract a bit. You could also consider waxing the peel on the back piece to make the color pop.
