Big Congrats on this stunning photo...first place....yipeeeee.
(5 years and 1115 days ago)Very nice picture
(5 years and 1116 days ago)Nice shot, sharp and brings back memories for me.
(5 years and 1117 days ago)I wouldn't mind sitting by this stream. Nice all encompassing photo.
(5 years and 1117 days ago)Thank you for the information, Japan is on my "to do" list, I shall make sure this temple is on it too.
(5 years and 1119 days ago)Nice picture.
(5 years and 1121 days ago)congrats on your win..photonut
(5 years and 1121 days ago)Do you know of this photographic trick that works with babies, animals and my husband? Professional photographers use it...and that is to make a noise, bark, meow, cackle....do something to make the person or dog or cat etc. to look at you. I have done this when shooting and it works for the subject will momentarily look your way and you have to be ready to grab the shot. I love this photo but had more faces been looking at you it would have been even a stronger image. Nevertheless, it is well focused, sweet and full of humour.
(5 years and 1121 days ago)Ahhh this is going to be hard to beat. How you managed to get all 5 looking at you, all sharp as a pin, great bokeh and diagonal slash that always gives movement or dynamism to a photograph. Holy Crackerjacks I love this.
(5 years and 1121 days ago)OH MY this is torture. Toast, with melted cheese and bacon...be still the beating of my heart.
(5 years and 1121 days ago)I would not have minded a bit more toast to really get the feel of the letter T but perhaps that is just my greedy stomach speaking instead of my head. The image is a great close up that shows lusciousness, and calories galore!
Oh how I wish you had put up where this temple was taken. Let me guess ...Kyoto? hmmmm maybe not as the Golden Temple in Kyoto is larger.
(5 years and 1121 days ago)This is a very solid photograph, by that I mean it is balanced, you have included a nice frame of leaves all around it and at the top. The colour palette of primarily yellow and greens is rich and further excites the eye, it is off center placement of focal point that works. AND to top it off the sky was cooperating with you on this glorious day and gave you much texture with clouds. A delight to review.
Congrats again, great work
(5 years and 1121 days ago)Congrats Vibeke
(5 years and 1121 days ago)What a lovely looking temple, can you please tell us where it is and a little bit about it?
(5 years and 1121 days ago)Reminds me of the seagulls from Finding Nemo...Mine, mine, mine!..
Lovely image good luck author

(5 years and 1122 days ago)Very nice shot. Well done author!
(5 years and 1123 days ago)She glows with an inner beauty that is palpable....tell her so please.
(5 years and 1123 days ago)Good facial expressions in this, slight blurness in those legs but as they were running, thats okay, would crop behind a little, only because they are a bit central, but minor point because I like it overall.
(5 years and 1123 days ago)I presume this was taken in a home, and its a heart warming photo, lovely expression of the older lady.
(5 years and 1123 days ago)He must REALLY like George Foreman grills.
(5 years and 1124 days ago)Oh how I wish you had said something about this image. Taken in Nara? It truly shows happiness of these two tourists and anticipation of the deer. The crop is tight amputating the legs but the emotion caught is intense and makes the shot a pleasure to review.
(5 years and 1125 days ago)Ahhh what a great moment caught! Your photo also makes the viewer smile.
(5 years and 1125 days ago)Good shutter speed to catch these two running and giggling, there is a bit of a blur which is nice because we get caught in the action. The composition is centered but consider an off centered composition to give them more room to run into, it may give you a stronger impact. I especially like the purse that little girl has it says "DREAM" and that is so true to youth filled with happiness and dreams. Remember, that part of the creative process is the title. In gallery showings oftentimes it is the title that can help in the sale of an image. I love the happiness here in this photograph.
Although your drink is cold, I know, but to my eyes it appears warm and welcoming because of your colour palette furthermore, that apron (although it could be a dress) and her hangnails on fingers tells us the story of a warm hearted, hard working individual. I like the story of your upload. The compositional style with inclusion of glass peeking into the frame adds a nice dimensional element. Your photograph does show noise and possibly that is due to a heavy zoom, a denoise filter would work nicely on this to make it buttery smooth.
(5 years and 1127 days ago)Please explain why the subject is beautiful to you
(5 years and 1132 days ago)This photograph brings a smile to my face. These poor bees work so darned hard and we take all their honey! If images tell us a bit about the photographer we can see that you have a good sense of humour and see the funny side of life and you have brought it to us delightfully. Sharp as a pin, good exposure but there seems to be a bit of noise on it and most likely that is due to a strong zoom...still it does not take away from this wonderful to review photograph.
(5 years and 1134 days ago)This is indeed a most beautiful scene. The pastel shades in the awakening sky really have a great visual impact. It seems like a bit of a long exposure rendering the water milky smooth and the sharpness is exact. There is also good detail shown in the shadow aspect of the photograph indicating good exposure. Love it.
(5 years and 1134 days ago)Congrats!
(5 years and 1142 days ago)Congrats Vibeke
(5 years and 1143 days ago)I love it. But some prayers don't work.
(5 years and 1145 days ago)Congrats.
(5 years and 1149 days ago)It's a lovely room and table setting but the photo is very noisy. If you have photoshop you can easily reduce the noise.

(5 years and 1150 days ago)Congratulations for first and second.
(5 years and 1150 days ago)Congrats again Vibeke 1 & 2
(5 years and 1150 days ago)Congrats Vibeke
(5 years and 1150 days ago)Warm , toasty, romantic, great capture of hues, and what a great story this upload has...almost makes me want to leave home.
(5 years and 1151 days ago)Love the minimalism in this upload. I am a sucker for KISS principle and it works so well in this photo. I think your compositional style is really effective. Pleasure to see this.
(5 years and 1151 days ago)I like your upload for the cringe factor. Surely hope the knife doesn't slip and hit the family jewels! Your image is sharp as a razor on the main focal point with lovely bokeh softening as we delve deeper into the photograph. Placed on a diagonal with the point coming at us further increases the cringe....and to get an emotional response from an image is what it is all about. My eyes however are quite distracted by that blur of magenta/purple hues in the upper L (viewer's L) aspect of the photograph, it presents incongruity to an otherwise great upload.
(5 years and 1152 days ago)Nice photo , like ironsaurus .
(5 years and 1155 days ago)I wonder what it's like inside?
(5 years and 1159 days ago)Ahhh I love butter too, it's always better with butter. You have tried to capture a macro shot and I am looking for the sweet spot (focus) on the image. The focus seems to be on the bread on our lower left aspect of the image and overall I feel a sharper focus on the butter and knife would have worked better, after all that is the main point of the photo. Your colours are natural, not overcooked and pleasant to look at and the crop, that tight crop adds to the strength of the photo.
(5 years and 1161 days ago)What an absolutely sweet catch! It takes a photographer to see the beauty in this and shoot it. I like it for it has a story...I can hear a little girl asking dad to put these on. I love the pink colours they catch the eye against the indigo blue. I would not have minded to see the entire mail box instead of having head amputated off, but this is artistic license , so I bow to yours. I do think that the buttons are a tad soft and you could have used a better dof or even a tripod. This sure caught my eye and isn't that what photography is all about.
(5 years and 1161 days ago)Congrats!
