I expected surfers like the pacific ocean early in the morning. Nice shot
(5 years and 3376 days ago)Wait...did elvis eat two of the reindeer? Two are missing! Glad you had fun with it.
(5 years and 3384 days ago)Cape something, somewhere in Africa. at least that's what the signs say
(5 years and 3385 days ago)Is this what the neighborhoods look like? Lush and old wood (assuming wood looks old from the moisture and salty air)?
(5 years and 3385 days ago)What a wonderful bit of history
(5 years and 3385 days ago)I looked it up. Winnipeg
(5 years and 3386 days ago)Oy! Ray...if YOU had that view from above? Well, I'd like to meet your plastic surgeon Admittedly, this is a very unique entry and, um, artistically done?
(5 years and 3387 days ago)Was just think the same thing k5683. A little vertigo-ish
(5 years and 3387 days ago)Wow.. a beautiful building and you framed it very nicely. Thanks.
(5 years and 3389 days ago)What is the building in the background? I want to google now. Thanks.
(5 years and 3389 days ago)This is wonderful. NYC is definitely on my places to visit in this lifetime. At first I thought all their shorts were on fire . The lights at waist level contrasting with the dark is very striking. I also like that you did not crop the sky out. It is a nice balance. Thanks for sharing.
(5 years and 3389 days ago)This piece has a very strong Native American feel to it with the colors and the look of a mask. It would translate beautifully into a sculpture of wood or metal. I love it. Great job!
(5 years and 3391 days ago)This work has lots of hidden items. After looking at it again, I see that it's not a bruised swollen eye but a pair of lips. Very provocative. This one really is so interesting to me. Nice.
(5 years and 3394 days ago)I really think this is interesting using the 3d cubes. I agree that doing something with the head may add another element to it. Nice job!
(5 years and 3394 days ago)I agree with Drivenslush. I should have been looser on the stringed instrument...but pianos are stringed instruments and just didn't want to go there The moderators will have final say obviously. I think this is fabulous. Thanks for starting us off with a nice showing. BTW, I look at the tutorial as a guide for beginning PSrs (such as myself) and not meant as the driver of this challenge.
(5 years and 3396 days ago)I like the edited version even more. I think having less sky adds to the effect. Gives it a bit of a gloominess and the rain works well against the trees. Thanks for considering the change.
(5 years and 3399 days ago)It looks so surreal. I really think it is such an interesting shot. Thanks for sharing.
(5 years and 3401 days ago)If they are plastic ducks is it murder or hunting? Notice the pattern on his shirt.
(5 years and 3402 days ago)Camera survived but author spent 3 days in hospital with pneumonia for walking barefoot in the rain. I like the idea of cropping the sky as you can see the rain against the trees. Might make it more interesting.
(5 years and 3402 days ago)Sometimes it is difficult to capture wind, but if you look at the whitecaps, I think this is more than an "ordinary" shot of a storm. I like the fast moving storm with the clear horizon behind. Storms over the ocean are visually interesting because of the rain coming down in the horizon and also the clearning in another part. I think you did a great capture of the diversity of this storm. Good job!!!
(5 years and 3402 days ago)I live in Sacramento...don't get much snow. Also new to photog...I am assuming that is snow in the background. How or what did you do to make it look this way? It looks kind of "furry" (sorry for the odd description). Thanks.
(5 years and 3402 days ago)Is this an hallucination based on an actual event? Just asking
(5 years and 3413 days ago)Absolutely the funniest thing I've seen here. Thanks so much!
(5 years and 3413 days ago)Is that you spackling? And thanks for sharing
(5 years and 3416 days ago)I can tell it is work because if he bites his lower lip any harder, it is going to bleed.
(5 years and 3416 days ago)I like the play of light from the right (our right, his left). Be interesting what the light shade looked like. Fancy I suspect. Nice play of dark to light.
Locksmagic: Is that a slap or a bonk?
(5 years and 3416 days ago)Using the magnifying glass to make the houses more visible was very clever. Nice addition.
(5 years and 3416 days ago)It's a Braveheart cow.
(5 years and 3417 days ago)This is such a compelling piece. The color, light, figure, texture. Even though there is a creepiness (to me) to it, the atmosphere you created is strong and truly speaks of loneliness. Very strong work.
(5 years and 3417 days ago)Too funny!
(5 years and 3417 days ago)Oy! Just an idea, since you're make the car go fast and the snail's head is sticking out...maybe make the snail's antennae go back like the wind is blowing them back. Make sense?
(5 years and 3420 days ago)Maybe he's English and says Eliphino.. And you did a good job with the image too.
(5 years and 3420 days ago)Nice angle of shot (from above for those not familiar with the device).
(5 years and 3422 days ago)You may have a reason for adding the boy, but I think it would be just as effective without the boy in the picture.
(5 years and 3423 days ago)Author: Touche Putty Cat (says tweetie to sylvester)
(5 years and 3423 days ago)This is so well done. The depth of the water is consistent throughout as indicated by the columns, the man's legs, the ashcan in the back.; as well as the distortion of reflection caused by the water. Nice work. I also like that you changed the "lighting" to give the look a less sterile look.
(5 years and 3424 days ago)Did you hear the one about the mouse that went to Marss?
(5 years and 3424 days ago)make that bite
(5 years and 3425 days ago)He took a bight out of it so he changed the look...does that waive copyright?
(5 years and 3425 days ago)I've never seen it and it made me laugh in its simplicity. Thanks.
(5 years and 3425 days ago)Nice lighting on the cat...but I think Warlock may be right about a long shadow just a bit from behind because the front of the house isin shade. Nit picky because I am a cat owner...the pupils would probably be smaller being outside however, he may be shocked sitting on a house. The lighting really keeps the cat from being flat. Nice job again.
(5 years and 3426 days ago)Fabulous! Since I don't know photography, did you photoshop it also? How did you treat it? Thanks for sharing.
(5 years and 3426 days ago)Made me laugh. Very clever.
