I see the difference, but it isn't much. Try uploading entries to the size of at least 1000 pxls wide. Most of the high def entries on here are between 2000 and 3000 pxls.
(5 years and 3429 days ago)Make sure you are taking your photos on your camera, on the highest size as well. That might be your problem.
If you supplied a High res it would be easier to give feedback.
(5 years and 3432 days ago)This is definitely more on theme. Now I can vote. GL!
(5 years and 3441 days ago)Good to see you are happy to be flexable, love the pic, can you send them around to my house please, my roof needs fixing too
(5 years and 3446 days ago)the house is sort of blocked coolo image though
(5 years and 3446 days ago)"... A SINGLE tool MUST be the focus" "...obvious that it's being USED..." guess if the mod thinks the "single" tool is in "use" and the "focus" of the image, then my question is; which "tool" is the "focus" here? the chainsaw is not in use, so that is not it. If the rigging mentioned above is the "focus" then i would say it is anything but "obvious". It is confusing when the rules for the contest seem fairly clear, stating "SINGLE tool" and "use" and "obvious" then anything is ok that has multiple tools, there are multiple as stated by the author himself, and others viewing, and it isnt "obvious" or there would be no question. the author even says the tool he is "using" is obscured, so again, my question, prior to voting is; what is the "single tool" being "used" that should be the "focus" of the image? cause im not getting a focus other than a tree, maybe a hanging tool not used, or ropes that are ANOTHER (not single) tool and not really the focus.
(5 years and 3447 days ago)yeah I never said it wasn't necessarily on theme but yes, it would have been nice to see more of the man I guess.
(5 years and 3447 days ago)this shot is on theme, it might not be the best example, but it is still on theme.
(5 years and 3447 days ago)I believe you, been there done this many times. Yes most definite on theme. Good luck
(5 years and 3448 days ago)This guy could be a pro tree trimmer using gaffs, rope and saddle common work today still where a bucket truck can not reach. Looks like some rigging there.
(5 years and 3448 days ago)yeah have to agree with you.
(5 years and 3448 days ago)I think it would be better if the chainsaw was in use too
(5 years and 3448 days ago)One would probably argue that a man in a tree with a chainsaw is not necessarily a specific trade. Sure there are lumberjacks and tree surgeons but this looks like just some guy in a tree trying to cut down a branch. Perhaps a description would help or even more of a shot of the man would help. .
(5 years and 3448 days ago)author, yes, you need to replace this with a shot of human hands.
(5 years and 3451 days ago)Don't worry, we still get confused.
(5 years and 3453 days ago)nice shot, but I asked about the use of statue hands (had one in mind) and the moderator said Human hands only. Pretty sure they meant, photos of REAL hands.
(5 years and 3453 days ago)Nice take on the theme. GL.
(5 years and 3453 days ago)Uh-oh... it's a big trouble...
