i don't mean to kill the mood, but that's a bass. not a cello. i am a cello performance major, so i know what my instrument should look like. you can tell that the instrument in the photo is a bass because it is pretty darn big and has sloped shoulders. this instrument has also been modified: the fingerboard has been replaced with one that has frets when normally it wouldn't, the tailpiece is missing, the pegs for tuning have been modified instead of the regular machines they have, and a strap has been added to it (i am assuming so it can be held like a guitar). neat photo, nonetheless!!
