I never knew about the "everything is bicurious" quote until now.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Muse is right - Tyler Durden.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Yup, this looks good.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Great work here, author.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Concept is good, noise is bad
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Maybe light too.
Wow, took me a sec to get it First impression was 3 cars reflecting in 2 mirrors, but it didn't make sense
(5 years and 3250 days ago)I think the suiccidal bear is a great idea, like jade said, great light & mood.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Bliss!
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Smart!
(5 years and 3251 days ago)This is one awesome render & comp. Great job author. FTW
(5 years and 3251 days ago)Really cool design & colors, but I agree with Mircea.
(5 years and 3251 days ago)You can merge more pictures into one to diminish the number of steps. If you merge 4 pics in one step you'll get to 12 steps, that's 35 less uploads.
(5 years and 3251 days ago)Stone blocks as background would improve this too.
(5 years and 3251 days ago)Really good render & idea. It wouldn't hurt more details aroung the eyes. As you know, gas masks have extra layer around eye holes to protect from infiltrations.
(5 years and 3251 days ago)Nice modeling, although I doubt that you need eyebrows for a mechanic mask, the render could improve.
(5 years and 3251 days ago)Good render, but it's distracting that they are floating; either strings or scene floor for BG, would have neutralized this effect.
(5 years and 3251 days ago)Some texture on it- at least camouflage would have been nice, and rusty metal instead of gold-ish cause it's doom's day as you said it. Except that, nice model.
(5 years and 3251 days ago)A nice collage.
(5 years and 3251 days ago)The shadowcast should match the rolls of hay's cast = longer & darker. It's a nice idea.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)Looks like artillery ready to fire. Next time be carefull with the focus, this had potential.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)Not that simple and clearly not plain!
(5 years and 3253 days ago)This looks so good, contrast, comp. & colors.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)Awesome idea.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)Disturbing & brilliant composition,author.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)This is awesome.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)Great colors.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)Very dynamic.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)Lol @ Driven, malards have narcissistic issues
It looks great for a max contrast pic.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)I like it a lot.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)This looks beautiful.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)Ok, now that I've seen the SBS: the design is Ok, i like it cause of the contrasting elements that compound it. However i think the source could have been used more. For ex: texturizing + color adj, the red part of the Hydrant would give you something close to leather.
(5 years and 3253 days ago)And you can make some of those metal textures from the source too - it would take time though.
Source was used for shoes, hips, belt & head - mainly.
Instead of those little eyes that make the Executioner look like a sad little boy, and not imposing, you can select that side of the disk they are standing on, and add a glow - red would be nice.
I like the background a lot - you didn't mention the source for the grass - or if it's painted, it's really good, anyways.
Great design & execution. This looks like a high level entry indeed.
(5 years and 3254 days ago)You can post you entry via my contest entries and make the SBS so that you post all these in the same time. There's a small box to chech at the end of the uploading page.
(5 years and 3254 days ago)Lol, I hope that's not all you got from my comment
(5 years and 3254 days ago)Lincoln coin + liquify& stuff = the magic ball aka power cloud. Didn't know how to call it.
Wow, that coin looks really good on her
(5 years and 3254 days ago)Can't you pierce it and add a small ring that ties it to the chain, so that it won't look glued or levitating ?
I know that's efective only in Hi-res, but since that is your only touch with the original source (besides the CBR-ed cloud power), i really think that it would count.
That aside, splendind work!
Smart idea, it would have looked far better with more time invested by:
(5 years and 3254 days ago)-arranging the composition so it would be a simmetrical perspective vs the assimmetrical statue.
-Insisting on highlights of the sculpture like the light was comming from above, vs a general light from the left.
- columns having a base.
- color pallete including complementaries : blue vs orange statue, or red vs green columns.
I'm sure you already know all these, that's why i wish you had more time.
I see you edited the color, nice
I'm glad this is back, and I'm trying really hard not to comment on the "no nudes" policy. Nipples are the first thing we repeteadly see at the beginning of our journey into this world and now we have to cenzor them? Why?
(5 years and 3254 days ago)The image is a bliss in it's simplicity I would however mask some parts of the egg support to make it look like it's planted in the sand.
Frikin' awesome & original entry! Fav'ed it.
(5 years and 3255 days ago)Your SBS only shows making the heart, not the rib cage and etc, or at least explain in a few words the toughest part- which reminds me of "how to draw an owl tutorial in 2 steps":
http://imc1.piccsy.com/13357-ba33a2-500-407.jpg
But maybe you forgot to take pics, or your batteries died.
People might notice the torso has only 16 ribs, i think it looks better this way and i'm sure it was your compositional choice.
That writing and the sketchy-look, make this a top imo, so congrats for a good work.
"or it could be the oversuffed" (Magic Mushrooms in the) "Raviolios I had for dinner.."
(5 years and 3255 days ago)Yeah man, I'm pretty sure that's it !
You can recognize the source in the harrington disks, and even if it doesn't appeal to my soul cause I'm liquify's worst enemy (lol), I wouldn't thumb down people who like it or call it lame.
(5 years and 3256 days ago)Dan has some valid points there: - similar bugs, probs with the right butterfly, flying disks, so i hope you can get pass his condescendence, rejoice that he only has 1 vote and find some constructive criticism in his comment.
If that's too hard and you can get pass his attitude challenge him on 1vs1 and may the best win!
You can get inspired from it, but not use it or reproduce it, since it's copyrighted.
(5 years and 3256 days ago)I posted it so that you can see the proportions, mood, lighting & how an entry should look.
The lighthouse is your MAIN so it would be better to be more detailed and occupy more space, for starters.
You can search for lighthouses on sxc, you should find plenty of shapes and environments to enspire you there.
You can edit your entry if you want to improve it My stuff-My contest entries.
There you have it: the 3 "you can"s. :P
People here are eager to help once they get what the author intended to do - that's why you can use the description . For ex. I see you have an overall pattern but is hard to understand how did you achieve it. Instead you can make it out of coins. You can experiment with masking the negative so that it looks like your image is made of different coins, stuff like that.
(5 years and 3256 days ago)One cool shot.
(5 years and 3256 days ago)Uhm... Torturer !! Right !? I bet that's older than the shoemaking job
(5 years and 3256 days ago)This is nice author, did you try cropping it so that we see only the eye and around ?
(5 years and 3256 days ago)Reminds me of being abducted
(5 years and 3256 days ago)Great job, I would have placed more grass (or taller) in the right side to frame the image.
(5 years and 3256 days ago)We usually provide a SBS so that people like me won't have to ask: What happened to the source?
(5 years and 3256 days ago)Is it only the coat of arms on his shoulder ?
Brainfreeze composition- i might not totally get it, but i like that you paid attention to the reflections so they look realistic.
(5 years and 3256 days ago)The brickpattern can barelly be seen, if you decide to make it more visible warp it to fit the form.
(5 years and 3256 days ago)Use some reference to help you with the entry:
