A background and a postman or somebody with a letter would give more sense to this design.
(5 years and 3225 days ago)lower taxes, better healthcare, free beer, making you immortal etc.
(5 years and 3225 days ago)At first i was like: why would you enter a croped image of the source, but after reading your steps i got it.
(5 years and 3225 days ago)Try to find some stock with fire and buildings make a normal image and then warpe it in the reflection, cause right now we can see it's only a drawing.
If you don't know how lights & shades work on a sphere, and you don't have any 3d software to help you ( although you can download google sketch up for free, make a sphere and a tree on top and add light source)
(5 years and 3225 days ago)- you can get a small ball of uniform color, a lamp, and cut out from paper the abstract shape of a tree which will be glued on the sphere. Then just adjust the position of the lamp, and take a pic for referece.
If you're not up for all this fun just download Google Sketchup.
About the colors, make something(background) blue/purple to contrast with the brown/yellow.
Congrats for your win!
(5 years and 3226 days ago)LMAO
(5 years and 3227 days ago)Eating from a bowl on the floor would have been closer to acting like a dog, imo.
(5 years and 3227 days ago)Intense indeed, but NOT nice .
(5 years and 3227 days ago)I agree, plus there's a nice face she's doing.
(5 years and 3227 days ago)Hot entry.
(5 years and 3227 days ago)You should have made a window out of the doors frame, so that they won't look out of scale and half burried.
(5 years and 3227 days ago)Rule of composition: repeating an element lowers it's value (2 yellow houses).
But it's a try, keep improving.
This is actually good.
(5 years and 3227 days ago)Author you must post a link with the tutorial you used. Nice job.
(5 years and 3227 days ago)Pretty CBR.
(5 years and 3227 days ago)LOL, unexpected.
(5 years and 3227 days ago)This is nice & original, but that sky looks really bad You could have used a real pic in Photoshop, or at least blur it so it won't seem pixelated.
(5 years and 3227 days ago)Totally agree with ponti about the first part, about the second part, I joined the site for other reasons
(5 years and 3228 days ago)This is not bad, except for her reflection on the puddle, a few masking problems and the minimal use of the source.
(5 years and 3228 days ago)Instead the mood & composition work well.
So cute, when he'll grow up he will hold you too... in his stomach.
(5 years and 3228 days ago)..and funny.
(5 years and 3228 days ago)I think a better idea would have been to crop it, so that we couldn't guess that the person is standing, which wouldn't have made necessary the need for rotate.
(5 years and 3228 days ago)The composition and idea are good but the pic is kind of blurry.
(5 years and 3228 days ago)One of the best scissors around, imo.
(5 years and 3228 days ago)Original composition.
(5 years and 3228 days ago)I've been called worse on PXL, I guess people translate appelatives from their own language presuming they'll work in english too.
(5 years and 3228 days ago)For the light thing, try cloning the shadowed paint into the light area and then add another layer - lower oppacity or set on soft light and paint with white using a soft brush.
Well it looks better cause of the shape of the girl, but in order to make it stand out more you should adjust the background with levels(ctrl L), making it darker and blur it a bit.
(5 years and 3228 days ago)Instead of that bush for hair i would use these:
http://cgtextures.com/texview.php?id=24807&PHPSESSID=a93838f6f73551a605c8878ac381b63c
It's copyright free, it's already cut and would make a nice touch to the pic, chromatically and volumetrically.
Contest is over, so you can't edit your image no more, but you can make it for yourself and enter it in Mix manipulations contest or in your portfolio.
PS: try dodge & burn to create light & shadow on the body.
"No people or animals in the photo" they said .
(5 years and 3229 days ago)Wouldn't it look better with
(5 years and 3229 days ago)-larger eye-meaning opened widely (use warp);
-bacteria filling all of the eye (not only iris);
-some outer glow ( greenish) on the bacteria layer, like it casts light;
-some texture on the skin, either from an outsource or by filters, you can give it a light green tone with red thin veins for contrast.
I'm just saying...
Luv it, it has a cozy feeling to it. Where is it? I'd love to go there.
(5 years and 3229 days ago)It looks like the perfect place to get robbed
(5 years and 3229 days ago)Now that's picturesque !
(5 years and 3229 days ago)Cobblestone always looked good
(5 years and 3229 days ago)This looks like a double alley, one on top, one on the ground.
(5 years and 3229 days ago)Great Jurrasic landscape you made here.
(5 years and 3229 days ago)Great comp. and light.
(5 years and 3229 days ago)Very good POV.
(5 years and 3229 days ago)This is so perfect.
(5 years and 3229 days ago)Beautiful! goes straight into the sea!
(5 years and 3229 days ago)The grass vs. door frame at the bottom could use a better masking ( like real grass is there, growing); it requires some patience, but it worths the final result.
(5 years and 3230 days ago)Oh, Ranum chick = female model posing for Marcus J. Ranum - brilliant man, kudos to him.
(5 years and 3230 days ago)On deviant whatever user has "stock" in his name, provides his images free to use- but you have to credit him, so read his terms of use. Some ask link with the work or to be informed by mail, etc.
The link i gave you is usable since is mjranum-STOCK.
About making a SBS: I save work as jpg from time, naming them 1, 2,3 etc, since i ussually reach over 10 and don't have patience to upload each one, i start merging them 1+2+3 = Step1, and so on.
(5 years and 3230 days ago)About entry: Good source & idea, you could improve the execution of the alien head by working on it's painting & shape more. Pen & blur.
One of the best around!
(5 years and 3230 days ago)Good idea, author. Color-pencils leftovers
(5 years and 3230 days ago)So cool! They always end up mixed
(5 years and 3230 days ago)Good looking pic, love the patterns.
(5 years and 3230 days ago)The place is called ChewALot, right?
(5 years and 3230 days ago)I believe every media has a rotate option. For ex, Windows photo viewer has it.
(5 years and 3230 days ago)If you still don't know how, ask a friend in Real life , they'll help.
This is so cool!
(5 years and 3230 days ago)They decorated awesomely a plain facade.
Nice image, extending the landscape at the bottom by using those rocks from Dark falls, would create a solid foreground that complements the composition, imo. Try it and see if you like it
(5 years and 3230 days ago)You could use the bouncing raindrops (light color) to create more contrast, paint them on the upper side of the plaine which should also be lighter, so that we can distinguish the form of the plain easier. I also think that cropping the image would help the composition - too much useless space right now
