I like how you made the construction of that structure, so that it looks 3d, but i don't really get what happens in your entry. You could explain in description what were you trying to achieve.

Nice work in Zbrush, but i don't like the position of the final render.
I think it would be awesome to see it from behind the globe, like the Santa is a bit blurred and we can see grinch's eye through the glass or something similar. It must be epic!
Maybe you can find a pic for the BG as well.

I agree with Tooth, place a wooden texture behind the picture, tilt the photo add drop shadow from layer styles, go to filters render- lighting effects, choose spot light and place it so that it looks like a lamp is above the photo but outside the seen part.
You can make the photo a sepia with an overlaying brown color.

It's pretty, but the reflection should not be distorted, just flipped will lower oppacity and some levels adjustments.
Even better, drop the reflection and the horizon line, maybe radial blur would make a prettier composition.

You have some masking problems with the green galaxy on the left. Use a soft brush to blend the edges.

The shadow cast of the tap must have the same color as the shadow cast of the tree.The easiest way to do this is clone stamp inside the shadow selection with source on the tree selection.

Why not make it a little smaller and red, like a fire hydrant?

Surrealism is about depicting unreal images in a Realistic manner ( they were even joking about how realistic can they get: see Magritte: this is not a pipe.)
Your entry is closer to Collage Art, which is pretty cool, but needs some adjusments as well - pasted paper on a background would have some frame edges, dropping shadows, etc.

Great blend! The only thing that i don't like is that all 3 soldiers look the same ( flipping doesn't count).
You could search for other backheads, paint backpack, apply gasmask, helmets etc.
Since you're lvl 15+, blending shouldn't take you long, so no reason for lazyness :P.

You could add a rusty pipe that exits the image, so that the water looks like comming from somewhere.
Those water drops should be transparent if you care for realism.

Just Ctrl J on castle layer- flip vertically move it down and either distort it with ripple or use displacement map to make the reflection fit the waves.

I don't get why so many things happen on the left side of the pic (cause it's the "cool" side? ) and nothing happens in the warm side.

Edit: I do agree (language barrier) with CMYK about that last part: "At least you could have gotten your light source right on all the flying islands."
I think it's really conflicting, since light is coming from behind the islands - as I can figure from the shadow cast of the girl.
Tell you what. You can make some cubes in a 3d program ( even google sketch up which is free), add a light source and take the render as reference.
Or you can just swich all island to the same position and change their shapes so thei won't look the same.

Honestly i can't see anything that would make sense, man ( please don't feel offended) but it's kind of chaotic in here. I had to check the sources to guess what happened.
Wouldn't it be easier to cut out the guy with the fire and outline him, make some fire-ish contours, add some burning cracks as well etc, BUT without loosing his shape? GL
