Those flowers really complement the image.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Wow. i think I'll start collecting flies soon enough, ha ha.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Most people hate bugs, but in close-up they look really nice.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Great one!
(5 years and 3272 days ago)I see that no-one comments so i would have to ask if do you need any feedback on how to improve, or you already know but can't really since you've lost the psd or smth?
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Anyways, here's my opinion:
1. Background is blurry, a more clear source would do better.
2. Her right hand could use some change of hue to look more blended in the water.
3. Those are soap bubbles, water bubbles look more like this : http://www.elrst.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/water-bubbles.jpg
I know someone who just liquefied the soap B.-s and they looked good.
About your confusion regarding CMYK's comment.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Perspective is about parallel lines which meet at the horizon.
The easiest way to check if your perspective is good/bad, is to draw lines connecting the eyes, connecting the shoulders and also use the line between the lips. After that, trace them continuously, until they meet. They should all meet in the same point which will be on the horizon line ( between the sea and the sky).
If they don't meet in the same point - you traced them wrong. If they don't meet on the horizon like, the perspective is wrong.
To correct this with the Buddha i suggest you use Transform- Distort, Warp & maybe Perspective if it works. You can also try to move the statue closer to the horizon, if the above doesn't work out too well. GL.
The SBS is nicely done.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Great one,original & I like the dynamical aspect.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Splendid!
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Good! This is artistique.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)I like it a lot. Cause of the low contrast between her skin & the background, the hair draws the outline of the face- which is complemented by the eyes and the red lips.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)I was scrooling down while thinking: when will this face end ?
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Awesome!
(5 years and 3272 days ago)super cool .
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Check Hi-res folks, and see how many seconds can you last watching it.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)This is nice, I luv it.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Great shot!
(5 years and 3272 days ago)I think you've beat the record for the longest SBS: 74 steps.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)If you would have checked: private comments instead of public ones, you would have gotten more feedback from lurking anarchists like yourself, lol.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Yup, i like it
(5 years and 3272 days ago)It looks OK (pat on the shoulder) .
(5 years and 3272 days ago)I like those light ribbons.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Stickman checking the jacuzzi! Ha ha
(5 years and 3272 days ago)LOL, trying to reach the vodka: "Must..use..powers."
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Where is this? look like my country side
(5 years and 3272 days ago)(Pls, reply on my profile-if you ever do- cause i might forget to come back, thx)
I believe you're allowed to use brightness contrast, levels and other Photoshop tools to enhace your drawing, so that it's black on white, not grey on pink ( unless you chose this effect on purpose). You can also use perspective crop to straighten in up.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Of course, having a scan would make it all easier
I realize that the aliens were made from liquefied mushrooms with hue and painting features, but you could add a few words in SBS to make it easier for ppl to appreciate your work. You made some extra effort by making the eggshells transparent and I like the effect it creates.
(5 years and 3272 days ago)I'm not a fan of those cracks, imo should be darker and not chamfered but overall is a good idea/good image. GL.
"It's so fluffy I'm gonna die!!!!"
(5 years and 3273 days ago)Really cool entry !
(5 years and 3273 days ago)Great idea, author ,
(5 years and 3273 days ago)I'm not eager to make future comments on this, cause i don't wanna get you discouraged , so if you like it this way, i won't judge Instead, this is...
(5 years and 3273 days ago)What I would do:
1. Make desert opaque, so that the bottom of the frame cannot be seen any more - use plants to cover up where it goes in the ground if blending is not convincing.
2.Make the foreground Daylight and keep the sky in the frame, night time. Instead of that unconvincing green stuff I would search on sxc.hu "desert grass" I"ll find at least 3 usable sources that I can also use for step 1.
3. Make shadows for elephant, maybe tree as well- use displace map if necessary . Fix the cutout of that frame we can stil see white spots in Hi-res.
4.Wait for other comments if I don't agree with Greymval, lol.
Good luck.
Wow, the story gave me goose-bumps
(5 years and 3274 days ago)Nice touch with the animated SBS.
Great work, so that's what schizofrenia really is about.
(5 years and 3274 days ago)Secret is right, see if motion blur helps you and try to eliminate the green overlay on the broken strings close to the viewer.
(5 years and 3274 days ago)This is some awesome work, check the rain/ water details in hi-res folks.
(5 years and 3274 days ago)You could experiment a bit with the blending of that girl. I get that you wanna make her like she's transforming as shes passing through, but IMO her back side should still be desaturated and overlayed with green-ish, the colour of the environnement.
EDIT: now that i changed the screen i realize that it was not green-ish, but you get the idea, she needs some desaturation and some lower brightness on her back, hair&hands, try with some level overlay.
PS: I DON'T usually make comments behind a messed up PC screen ,..
Great image, the SBS is (a bit) confusing, but i get what you did. It's a great idea and the foreground is awesomely made.
(5 years and 3274 days ago)You could use some crazy hair to make it closer to the Joker.
(5 years and 3274 days ago)Hidding it behind the wall and the tree would give you less 3D issues IMO.
(5 years and 3274 days ago)Can you make the frame standing in the sand so that we can't see it's lower part? I think it would look better and save you some blending issues.
(5 years and 3274 days ago)If you're not sure how it should look, take a small frame, in real life ( you can make one from paper, cardboard, and put it in a bowl of sugar, flour or something similar to sand. There you have your reference!
I would suggest you keep this entry on daylight and make some shadows to the animals, frame & tree. GL.
This could use some shadows on the girrafe's head &ears for better blend.
(5 years and 3274 days ago)This can be done by selecting a part of the stone pedestal, make it a new layer and select the guy layer then go Image- Adjusments - Match colour and select the stone pedestal layer.
(5 years and 3275 days ago)For realismyou need to put a shadow from the cage on his pants and place soem shadows/highlights. Pay attention to the shadows in the background when you make this.
EDIT: in case you're new around here, i should tell you that you can edit your entries (before the contest closes) by going to My stuff-My contest Entries, and uploading the new & improved image.
But as i can see , if no one else enters, you'll win the 3rd place, lol!
Good job Arca!
(5 years and 3275 days ago)I'll remove my comments , they are not doing any favour to any of us.
(5 years and 3275 days ago)I'm glad that ppl like this how it is. Good luck!
Awesome!!
(5 years and 3277 days ago)Great group, they look like chefs so if they cook well, i wanna be a part of that family
