Wha..what? She was snowboarding and something horrible happened. It.s grotesque enought!
(5 years and 3322 days ago)You need to work on the eyelashes, check your neighbours' work, there's plenty of inspiration around .
(5 years and 3323 days ago)Cute & funny .
(5 years and 3323 days ago)Repeating an element lowers it's value. Either take out the background statues or change their colour, or change tha statues themselves.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)Great job man, now it's a kick-a$$ entry.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)There are lots of bricks pattern out there. Search on imageafter.com for example - cause now it looks a bit fake.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)Also give depht to the window, so that it won t look like paper.
Here's an awesome tutorial about making a stone wall - use it to make your bricks real, before time runs out. http://www.lunacore.com/photoshop/tutorials/tut028.htm
Best of luck!
Well i won't lie, it's not perfect, but the overall image has improved from the first time i saw it.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)I think it's cool, good blend.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)I know the giraffe's neck was short, but don't stretch it cause the spots look weird. Either copy paste and blend a part of the neck to continue either make a blend between the mantis neck and the giraffe.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)You'll have to blend the fore members too.
Use soft brush eraser for the edges on the nuke (maybe some blur too) and lower opacity a bit for better blend. The colors look good.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)It looks good author
(5 years and 3323 days ago)Thanks author, that's helpful indeed.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)i think it's awesome.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)I like it too. Good title as well.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)This one is good, great sources you found there. Naughty tree!
(5 years and 3323 days ago)Nice one.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)Did you try to make that motion blur, like it's taking off? Back then, when they were making photos looking like this 18-19 hundreds you had to stay still for half an hour or so
(5 years and 3323 days ago)Did you try to place the kid a bit to the left and rotate his head so that he looks at the monster's head and not like ignoring him? I know it's not easy but it would have a great effect.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)Nice entry. Here are my tips:
(5 years and 3323 days ago)1.The creature should have a blue-ish overlay in order to look like it's in water, i would even lower the opacity to 90-95.
2. the lower part of the mouth doesn't look 3d (perspective is off). try to add the other layer of teeth behind and something like a tongue between them.
3. The are 2 types of bubbles : soap ones & water ones. You need the second type that looks like this:
http://www.pixshock.net/pic_b/31f006131aa76bed5f1dec01cc6d4203.jpg
You see, they are not round, cause water is heavy and makes them squashed. I think you can fix this from jitter.
Dude, it's a good entry, don't get discouraged, we've all seen a hell lot worse. People here are just trying to help u improve, it would be more unpleasant not to have any feedback.
(5 years and 3323 days ago)What, what? It looks better WITHOUT shadows?
(5 years and 3324 days ago)The thing is there's an obvious shadow on the shed so..
Well at least you could try to burn under horsey or smth, but you know how to do a shadow, so place it under him.
If you could place those fern on top of the shed-layer by using masks, it would already look better. GL
Good blend.
(5 years and 3324 days ago)Flawless IMO !
(5 years and 3324 days ago)This is too cool.
(5 years and 3324 days ago)It all has been said
(5 years and 3324 days ago)I like the way you made the skin texture ( too bad u didn't quite use it). My fist thought was that this is an actual photo ( maybe a bit manipulated) so i had to check the SBS.
(5 years and 3324 days ago)This is photorealistic, d'apres moi.
LOL, good one!
(5 years and 3324 days ago)There could be improvement, like some tear forming in the eye as well, taking care of the shadows/ highlights of the tear so that i won't seem solid and consistent, but fading away.. like this: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_DN7lOKPVYQQ/ST2rVdwcfbI/AAAAAAAAAWA/w6NpLcLxSMY/s400/Tear.jpg
(5 years and 3324 days ago)Nice effort, anyways.
They said : The more photo-realistic, the better, but this is good it's more close to drawing art than photo-like drawings. I like it!
(5 years and 3324 days ago)Awesome, makes me weepy.
(5 years and 3324 days ago)Is that Megan Fox? And no, I'm not obsessed!!
(5 years and 3325 days ago)You could add a few words in the SBS on how you do it ( for newbies like me), smudge, or soft eraser with blur on shadows - stuff like that.
I allways thought that pulling the plug was related to medical terms - like shutting down life support.
(5 years and 3325 days ago)Nice how easy reflections are, in Max.
What's the thing with aurum, can you do an explanation for ignorants like me? I googled it but i still don't get the entry. I even searched it in urban dictionary ! )
(5 years and 3325 days ago)Nice composition, looks like a logo.
(5 years and 3325 days ago)The tail of forks is ussually curved ( just google fork on Images- you ll see) , it's some universal ergonomical rule for designing forks ( and spoons).
(5 years and 3325 days ago)Besides this minor detail, i think it's a good entry for Idioms.
Not necessary the box needs to be taken care of, but the overral ambient. You could use some shadow on the ground and maybe a different ( warmer ) colour for the background.
(5 years and 3325 days ago)The stomach has more light in the lower side and it's darker in the upper part, and by choosing a fade background that also has light in the lower part, it nullifies the contrast.
MO: use some orange dark clouds as background and make a foreground on which the box stands. You could use that trick with clouds and lighning effects for a BG textures. Keep it up!
Not bad !
(5 years and 3326 days ago)Don't take this wrong, but it's kind of like a "plain filter entry". Since there's no (more) rule about posting filter entries, i guess you can do that, but make it more interesting.
(5 years and 3326 days ago)You could: use different tonalities of blue, like a mosaique; make a blue dust cloud that swallows the image, make a floating in the sky shack, etc. Make it cooler.
I like how you assembled the picture from parts of the original, it's an impressive work. The thing is that the colourfull sky creates a too strong of an entity that puts the foreground on second place, therefore nomatter how many details you place on the eagle and the carcase, the prime colours (sky) that take 40% of the picture will make those fade away,
(5 years and 3368 days ago)You could either make the sky only 10-20% of the pic, or making the eagle and skeleton overlaping it, or.. using the sky in the original pic: the grey purple one.
Impressive work! Almost took it for a picture.
(5 years and 3645 days ago)I ran out of space in the first comment.. Nice exploration path you took there, betting on the contrast. It's simple but it's probably the best from this contest.
(5 years and 3645 days ago)A little add on wazowski's comment: enlarge the ripple effect for more impact. Duplicate the layer with the ripple, Ctrl shift U to desaturate it, and add more contrast. Turn off the other layer, and save this as a psd file, different from your entry (it will be your displacement map). After that you can delete this layer. Select the reflection layer, go filters-Distort-Displace and choose the file you previously saved, Afterthat overlay or play with opacity. Do the same with the shadow. If it works it should look really cool, if not, check some tutorials for Displacement.
(5 years and 3645 days ago)roflmao, this entry was underated, you should have had a Humor vote bar, you wouldhave gained more points. Anyway this was the funniest.
(5 years and 3713 days ago)good idea, this invention would totally change exam results, lol.
(5 years and 3713 days ago)nice background.
(5 years and 3713 days ago)lol, it's funny.
(5 years and 3713 days ago)wow, wow like in: my eyes hurt!! It's a great effect, would have liked to see an SBS on how to do that.
(5 years and 3713 days ago)It looks like a filter work only, nest time try to be more creative.
(5 years and 3713 days ago)There should be tutorials on the net to help you make realistic fire or maybe if you can find some fire source- pics to blend in. I think it would look bette without no light in the main building but more on the left one. The fire-crew is well blended.
(5 years and 3713 days ago)This looks pretty cool. I belive the plants should be a little darker and have a shadow cast on the walls, and theyshould have a continuity, instead of a random grow.
