The only thing is that this is too cute ) You wanna cuddle this little monster and take him home. 'snuggle-snuggle'.
(5 years and 3122 days ago)South park reference?
(5 years and 3122 days ago)You could find whatever texture and apply it on the monster to level the density of the image.
Overall it's a nice job.
Made it to the top entries, congrats
(5 years and 3123 days ago)This is a cool production but you have addapted the source to your concept instead of the other way around, meaning you could replace the original source with no matter what photo and have the same result.
(5 years and 3124 days ago)Independence day ! And well done!
(5 years and 3126 days ago)Hey author, I thought that too, at first.
(5 years and 3126 days ago)But your statement is contradicted by the line of her shoulders, which should not be paralel with the horizon in a twisted position. Anyways, maybe is not that important.
I agree with the green eyes, they are really attractive and well drawn
Good work, very realistic. I like the reflections.
(5 years and 3126 days ago)Awesomeness!
(5 years and 3128 days ago)Looks cool & funny as hell title!
(5 years and 3128 days ago)I think it's so funny!!! Of course it needs improvement starting with the shadows.
(5 years and 3128 days ago)Having all your elements below the horizon line, really dulls the image. Inserting some big mountains with strong diagonal lines would increase the dynamics of your composition. GL.
(5 years and 3128 days ago)LOLs nice SBS, good details, good render. That belly button really irritates me , like it's not the axis. Maybe it's just me
(5 years and 3128 days ago)Partially agree with Mos.
(5 years and 3128 days ago)Actually mossy, this is 3d, as I understood they arent allowed to post-process in PS.
Maybe increasing refraction setting , add a brighter light,or use PS but don't tell (j/k).
I love the hatch on the petals. It would be awesome to have a transparent bulb, but maybe harder as well.
(5 years and 3128 days ago)Dang!! What a pro entry!
(5 years and 3128 days ago)Pretty cool one author.
(5 years and 3128 days ago)If you have photoshop or any free photo software try to crop it and increase contrast. It looks cool, but would look better if presentation is improved.
(5 years and 3128 days ago)Nice one author. Try to render the materials so that there's an obvious texture difference between the metal & the flower. Metal should have higher contrasting tones, some bright whites some dark grays. Use the erases for glints of light on the metal part.
(5 years and 3128 days ago)I liked the line of the light bulb in step one: thin and continuous - showed more confidence.
Good luck!
Very convincing render, congrats! I'm not a fan of the smoke though, but I know it's tough to make it real.
(5 years and 3141 days ago)What do you call this ? Rail kill, track kill, train pawnage ?
(5 years and 3141 days ago)Convincing chop!
Hey, at least starving keeps you slim )
(5 years and 3145 days ago)Her lower hands are a bit disproportioned. Use construction arcs from the shoulders to keep proportions on the lower hands.
This looks really good. Smart one, author.
(5 years and 3149 days ago)Awesome idea with the jellyfish as parachutes for the fish, nice chromatics and mood, as well.
(5 years and 3149 days ago)I'm not a fan of:
1. Background. No idea if it's an aquarium or the ocean. In the first one you would have some form of "back" of the BG, like an outside word ( you could have made this look like a bubble/ bubble tank, enhancing your composition ). In the ocean, the floor would go further away losing itself in a blurred underwater horizon, or if it's the edge of an abyss you would see the other edge or some seamountains etc.
2. Fish. You only have 2 species repeated a few times with minor hue & scale change, even bubbles on them are the same -makes this very boring. Try using more species and more numbers, maybe a cluster in the background, one very close in the foreground, in order to create More Depth & variety. ( they can also be partially outside the screen.
3. Shadow cast. a) It should be a little more oblique since light comes more from the left, than from the front. b) Dress & umbrella would create a projected ellipse shadow, not a triangle. ( credits for this info: CMYK & his comment on my entry on mushroom shadows).
I wanna make sure that you know: I do appreciate your effort & idea, and I'm only commenting cause I see lots of potential in this entry. With some more time investment it would truly be outstanding.
Good job!
(5 years and 3150 days ago)Next time use crop/perspective to trim a rectangular photo.
(5 years and 3152 days ago)You could have used green circles, different sizes & tones for the background as well. It would have been more ON theme and more artistic. Great job, non the less.
Some minor masking probs/hard edges, but a great composition with good chromatics & interesting concept.
(5 years and 3154 days ago)Smart idea.
(5 years and 3159 days ago)When you have photos like this, that are not straight , load it in photoshop , choose crop, and there's a small case you can check called Perspective. It allows you to make your crop follow the perspective, and when you're finished and press Enter, it will make it straight.
(5 years and 3159 days ago)Yeah, maybe you posted the link in the anchor text window, instead of the source. But you can edit them again!
(5 years and 3160 days ago)@ dewkid: why !? can't guys dress in red ?
(5 years and 3160 days ago)Make him write his name in the snow lol!! or pxleyes!
You could transform the lamps just a bit , so that those in the foreground appear bigger, but Make Sure you Don't split the image with them. Splitting image = failed composition.
(5 years and 3160 days ago)Also make the far distance foggy, so that you can't perceive horizon, but just image it. Check works of ponti & arca if you don't understand what i mean. I usually do it with some scatter common brush on a layer which I gaussian blur. But internet has many tutorials, try them.
Last tip: since all your elements are vertical, image might be plain - try to tilt the snowfall, a few degrees.
You're doing good, and you're also the only guy with warm mood!
Good chop!
(5 years and 3161 days ago)Also, symmetry doesn't help this image, two identical buildings is a bit weird. Find one or some tries for one of the sides.
(5 years and 3162 days ago)You're a tourist !
(5 years and 3162 days ago)Reminds me of all those South-Park jokes on catholic priests .
(5 years and 3162 days ago)Love it!
(5 years and 3163 days ago)Man, I would like some description about your entry, you know ?
(5 years and 3163 days ago)Maybe you got lucky or maybe you're really an expert, cause compositionally this image is perfect. I rarely see that around . So what`s the story ?
Well done, the entry is already dramatic so there wouldn't be need for 'death' in the title to emphasize on that. But it's author's choice.
(5 years and 3164 days ago)Nice Droste, very cool depth & mood. Welcome on pxleyes!
(5 years and 3165 days ago)Lol. ok I lost . Good luck, author.
(5 years and 3165 days ago)I was ready to check your sources when I first saw it. I had no idea this was a real photo
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Awesome mood.
(5 years and 3166 days ago)They don't call it global warming no more, in here it's "changement climatique", they still blame human activity though...
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Montréal = 6 months winter, 6 months raining and I work in landscape architecture, lol !
Now that's team work!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Great shot!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Beautiful landscape.
(5 years and 3166 days ago)This is Illustrator, I wish I had your skill in this software, right now I have no idea how to remake what you did here.
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Could you make a tutorial after, if you have time, pretty please ?
Frodo!!! Noooo!!!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Good work author, I agree some tracks would have helped.
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Lol, she wants to take my money. I was asking if it was you who came up with this idea or a guy around you.
(5 years and 3166 days ago)
