(5 years and 2752 days ago)Tho the ovals are a bit distracting, I like the design and final image. Great team effort!

(5 years and 2755 days ago)Wish i could get a trophy like this, nice work
(5 years and 2756 days ago)what make it look unreal is because the skin look to chalky and dry. You need some sub surface scatter. to give a little translucency. and to make it less flat/dry you need some highlights. most skin contain oil. it has a pattern of highlights on it.
(5 years and 2879 days ago)You have all the elements of a good piece here, they are just all crammed into the bottom right side. I would rethink your composition, look up the "rule of thirds". Its hard to see your meteor because its the same color as the planet and ring its near. The best thing about 3D is, its very easy to change your composition and re-render an image.
(5 years and 2881 days ago)Your right, hands are challenging and i think you did a good job with the modeling and rigging of yours here. I like the pose and the texture isn't too bad either. I do agree however that the final render takes away from the modeling somehow. Cant tell if its the lighting or the background. Good luck regardless.
(5 years and 2881 days ago)You might find a free and good texture here:

I find that rather than trying to paint textures or use procedurals, shaders, etc it is better to use good pictures of the real thing.
The modelling of the hands is really excellent they look great in the SBS. Somehow however the final render loses a lot of the good work. I would say that you need to try and find a better texture or to paint a more detailed one. Then maybe a background and some GI and more of a scene. Also, great work on the rigging.
(5 years and 2881 days ago)Wonderful idea with the hooded snake top. I'd curve that hood a bit more to fit in the hand, though. It looks somewhat flat and uncomfortable to fit into your hand to hold it and lean on it. But the overall shape and texture is quite nice.
(5 years and 3008 days ago)Depends if you are going more for characterisation or realism of course but I think smoothing out the bridge of the nose could improve this a litte. As it is it feels a little flat and rigid. Rathering worryingly this reminds me of someone I know...
(5 years and 3074 days ago)Pretty good idea, try not to cover your own work in heavy shadows.
(5 years and 3075 days ago)Nice Congrats
(5 years and 3108 days ago)congratulations author

(5 years and 3118 days ago)Love the character, but his head should be more cylindrical. It's a bit flat. VERY cute, though!
