The back ground is black and not the object, therefore a little off topic. The image has been altered way to much, the original is better. would have suited the curves comp.

The chair is to centered in the image. If it was cropped so the chair is more to the left would be better IMHO. Like the light.

What do you mean unfriendly? i was only stating what the rules say, If it doesn't abide it will usually get red flagged and or removed by the mods. The image is nice but imho is not bw.

The guidelines state BW, not duo tone or cross tone. Bw to me is simply BW ,no colour tone at all.

Does your camera have a setting for shooting under tungsten light? Nice composition but the lighting is letting it down.

Some good work, but your composition just doesn't work imo. Looks like 3 different things going on, the left, the center and the right. I would have juggled the figure around so he is not so much in the middle. All the "weight" of the image is on the right.
