I guess cocor misunderstood your description "and defocused the shot manually to create this look".. with what I understood is that you manually adjusted the camera lens to get the defocused effect.. right..?

if you crop the right side of the image.. then it'll be 100% on theme.. right now there is focus on the table legs and a bit on wall..
