this is one of my favorites...because i like the contrasted shadow its throwing....the shadow is very "Picasso"-ish in shape, and the bright blue cobalt color is divine.
(5 years and 3246 days ago)on another note..i really want a cameo like that. its gorgeous.
congrats on your first place, little one.
(5 years and 3247 days ago)Congrats on your 2nd place!

(5 years and 3250 days ago)*faints*
i'm honored.
and soooo surprised.
you made my day you really did. You are soooo talented author. and ... always surprising me. definitely in my favorites. I didn't see this coming at all.
*happy tears*

(5 years and 3259 days ago)Congratulations on your 2nd place
(5 years and 3259 days ago)And a third place as well?? :O Congrats to you again!
(5 years and 3259 days ago):O Congratulations!!!! you did a fabulous job on this one, and i am so happy to see you back to chopping again
(5 years and 3259 days ago)Congrats on your first place!!! very awesome!
(5 years and 3259 days ago)So nice to see your work again...this is really great. I love the dark mystery it has to it...that sinister feeling. Good luck author!
(5 years and 3262 days ago)texture is a bit to prominent. perhaps lower the opacity.
(5 years and 3263 days ago)also, where the mouth has been taken away, it looks like she's got a bulge under her skin. perhaps you could do something to lessen the shadowing that gives it that appearance.
i know at first glance who's this is. and its lovely. absolutely. i was waiting for something like this
(5 years and 3263 days ago)it does have a good mood, however, i think the skulls on the left need to be more solid. right now you can see through them.
(5 years and 3263 days ago)idon't know if the hand is allowed, but..if i might offer advice...clean out under the nails before taking a picture like this. i have a horrible pet peeve against dirty nails. :P ruins a great shot for me.
(5 years and 3263 days ago)You need to post your source links, or if all the pictures are your own, then you need to post them in your sbs.
(5 years and 3266 days ago)you had quite the hair do didn't you? *giggle* nice blending!
(5 years and 3270 days ago)hahahaha! i looked at the sbs to figure out who this was. you certainly don't fit the pumpkin head type.
(5 years and 3270 days ago)no, you did fine. i must have jumped the gun on my comment, sorry for that. lovely chop...Thats YOU author?
(5 years and 3270 days ago)awesome costume if it is. and beautiful dog.
you have to post your original uncut source of the girl.
(5 years and 3270 days ago)Congrats...this one made me smile.
(5 years and 3274 days ago)And this is no surprise to me really, congratulations dear friend very well deserved.
(5 years and 3274 days ago)Be gentle with that liquify...as it is touchy. It took me some practice to figure out how to use it effectively.
(5 years and 3275 days ago)And trying new things is always great fun. Are you using a drawing pad or a mouse to do your work?
Wow. Getting in uncharted waters there author.
(5 years and 3275 days ago)Honestly, I think you might have used the blur tool a bit on the frames of the glasses? Correct me if I'm wrong. That's what it looks like to me. And about the hair, depending what version of ps you are using, liquify would help. Using "push" to slightly depress the hair so its more believable would be good. PsE doesn't have liquify to my knowledge, but I run cs2 and it does.
You could choose to paint back in the parts of the frames that look so blurry and then blend to suit the image.
Author you have got to be one of the most meticulous artists! This is amazing. How many layers did you end up with?? You have me curious!
(5 years and 3276 days ago)Nice job in construction! Tell me you had like 756 layers or some such thing!
(5 years and 3276 days ago)Good luck to you!
Its quite impressive. I toyed around with this source for a while and ran out of time with it, but this is fabulous. I'm seconding matteos "brilliant" on this one, and good luck to you author.
(5 years and 3276 days ago)You would have done well to find pictures of galaxies instead of the brushes you used. I am a supporter of using brushes to enhance an image, however I do think that some of them tend to miss the mark. There are tons of awesome astral photography shots in creative commons on flickr if you look, and perhaps in the future that will be something you consider.
(5 years and 3276 days ago)Heehehe I looked at it with eyes half opened.
(5 years and 3276 days ago)Honestly I really thing the overall blur to the image is just as disturbing as your color choices. I would have considered desaturating the bright blue/aqua to town it down and bring the red to a more deep hue instead of so bright.
I think you had a decent idea, but could stand to make a few changes.
Amazing detail. I love how you applied the source in this one. Original and fantastic. Good luck!
(5 years and 3276 days ago)Author...you astound me. Truely great talent you have. I'm starting to recognize your work, and i am always impressed. This one is goin to my favs. Beautiful work!
(5 years and 3276 days ago)Aaaaaahhhh! I love the little bug on wheels...buggie!
(5 years and 3276 days ago)This one is awesome. Very well done, and good luck to you author.
(5 years and 3276 days ago)having two entries so much alike in the same contest usually isn't a good idea. i'd replace this one or remove it before the mods do.
(5 years and 3277 days ago)its got a creepy poltergeist feel to it. :O nice.
(5 years and 3277 days ago)looks like spirit lights escaping the windows of the house.
(5 years and 3277 days ago)nicely done.
oooh.neat. the jitter in the lines off the numbers is awesome.
(5 years and 3277 days ago)i agree with ray. i like the sporadic-ness of the light movement. its really cool!
(5 years and 3277 days ago)i like this one. alot. the flame-like appearance and the motion of the lights...the bright glow in the centers of the "flames"
(5 years and 3277 days ago)nicely done author. and good luck.
wow. i don't even know what to say.
(5 years and 3277 days ago)
wish she didn't have that pimple by her eyebrow. :P
(5 years and 3277 days ago)aside from that...this makeup is AHMAZING. and i love the softness of the shot. i need a makeup artist like that. is it airbrushed on?? however..its a lovely shot.
YOU are kidding, right mossy??
(5 years and 3279 days ago)OMG.
the tires is part of teh source. the front of the sprayer.
the bumper is teh turn on valve on the source.
the ground the car is sitting on is from the brick wall.
the body of the car is the actual nozzle of the sprayer. notice the "soaker" printing??
i admit there needs some work done to blending of things..but CBR? not really. i've seen worse. ALOT worse.
No outside sources used? You haven't linked to any....
(5 years and 3279 days ago)i don't even have to guess. i know the author right off. your work speaks for you.
(5 years and 3281 days ago)too bad about censorship. i hate to see tasteful art scarred like that.
its beautiful.
And congrats to you too!
(5 years and 3282 days ago)Congrats
