The snow doesn't make real and the two personnages seem to be out of the picture, try to fix it with more shadow. Good luck author
(5 years and 3280 days ago)Re: My comment. In the source pic there's no snow falling. It's a good photo. Author, your addition of the "twins" works for me, but they could just as easily be standing there after the snow, so you wouldn't have to deal with the suckiness of the snow brushes, especially since premade brushes have become an issue in the forum of late. Just saying, ya know?
(5 years and 3281 days ago)this should have gotten first
(5 years and 3281 days ago)Well you've certainly achieved "Creepy" well enough!
(5 years and 3281 days ago)Snow isn;t too hard to make in photoshop, my method is adding noise onto a black background and blurring it by 2 or so pixels, then using levels isolating just a few white specks. (Much like when creating rain using the "Noise" method if you're familiar)
Then i go to Filter -> Pixelate -> Crystallize and play around with the values. Once you press okay you'll have larger white flakes, i then add a bit of motion blur, set the blending mode to screen and reduce the opacity a bit.
That is, if you feel like changing the brushes :P Good luck!
Not sure about the snow brushes, but interesting idea.
(5 years and 3281 days ago)Congrats!!

(5 years and 3282 days ago)Nice work author...gl
(5 years and 3282 days ago)Now I'm surprised to see it's you. But I think you know which one i really like
(5 years and 3282 days ago)Still an impressive shot! GL!
I agree with all the comment that imply you should have put more ice effect into her.
(5 years and 3282 days ago)And why is this not getting more attention. Author, your attention to detail is absolutely breathtaking and your details, as well as sex appeal, well, this is definitely the hottest ice woman I'v e ever seen. IMO, this should be the winner!!
(5 years and 3282 days ago)Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!! Very, very niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice! GL!
(5 years and 3282 days ago)Very cool! Love that it isn't the cliche alien colors. Oh wow, until I read your description it didn't even hit me that she wasn't bald to begin with. Great job!
(5 years and 3283 days ago)Nice idea, good blending on the fish hues!
(5 years and 3284 days ago)Very original and very creative. The color is very catchy as well. The only problem is that the galaxy in the background is kind of distorted. Perhaps you can get a different picture maybe? But in all very good. I like it alot.
(5 years and 3284 days ago)Inventive and original, good luck
(5 years and 3284 days ago)Cool effects, the eyes look so sad
(5 years and 3284 days ago)great job......
(5 years and 3285 days ago)Congrats for the second place
(5 years and 3286 days ago)You said you want her to be like Iceman ? Like this : http://xmendiaries.ibelgique.com/encyclopedie/characters/images/iceman03.jpg ?
(5 years and 3287 days ago)Don't ! She's too hot for that ). I would insist on her hair. Check this: http://static.desktopnexus.com/thumbnails/149283-bigthumbnail.jpg See the contrast between the highlights & darkshines ? You could experiment with that, but it's already an awesome entry. Stacey will be proud
awesome job!
(5 years and 3287 days ago)WOW!!! This for sure is going to the fav box!
(5 years and 3287 days ago)Congratulations on your second..... well done....!
(5 years and 3288 days ago)Could you make some parts of her hair looking frozen by placing highlight here and there?
(5 years and 3288 days ago)Congrats!!
(5 years and 3288 days ago)Disturbing and frightening the way she is coming at you from the deep. This is why I get afraid of underwater diving! Bravo and congrats on 2nd! Excellent entry!
(5 years and 3288 days ago)congrats on second...
(5 years and 3288 days ago)Interesting, but the icicles are made to different scales, and the ones beneath the eyes would curve to the proportions of the face.
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Great job! She definitely gives off a "frozen" vibe.
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Congrats for your second place!
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Congratulations!
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Niiiiiiiiiiice!!!!!!!!!
(5 years and 3289 days ago)I would have never guessed...
(5 years and 3289 days ago)spooky and dangerous..... good work....gl
(5 years and 3289 days ago)it is a beautiful image..... yes, you should be proud...even if you do not win.... I think that us, artists, have to deal with problems of trying to figure out the outcome of our work. IMHO I would say, that some people would like to see a "perfect work", with shadows and highlights, textures, forms, colors, shapes, perspective...etc..etc... These people should realize that we are working with photos to make a combination or photo manipulation, just putting them together, takes time and effort. Our minds get tired, some of us do not want to compete, as we know, there are better artist than us. We, just want to accomplish something that is in our minds... Be creative is the main thing. You did a good job! It is your work! I am also proud of what you have done.... leave negative criticism and comments behind. Your heart will always tell you when you do right. Good luck!!!!
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Lovely my dear, simply lovely!
(5 years and 3290 days ago)Nice!! GL!
(5 years and 3290 days ago)My intention wasn't to insult the author, i know them and love them like a sibling, and i know they prefer receiving comments that help them improve their images, over simple "Nice work!" comments. The author knows i like their work, but when commenting on their images, i try to find nit picks to help them out.
(5 years and 3291 days ago)Positives usually outweigh the negatives.. for example the selections, the sources the author chose, the blending and the overall idea.. these are all really good.
Still, i have to agree, negative points should be highlighted with respect.
Good luck author.

(5 years and 3291 days ago)Good luck Author nice chop indeed.
I could wrote same as others author, lots and lots of text lines...but i will say only that i like your creation very much...and of course hers upper body is hot,but i can only imagine what she can do with lower part...
(5 years and 3291 days ago)Looks alot like my childhood swimming instructor, very well done....great image!
(5 years and 3291 days ago)Looks great to me author!
(5 years and 3291 days ago)Dont worry too much about taking certain peoples advice, especially about underwater scenes - http://www.pxleyes.com/photoshop-picture/4ccb15f987e8c/Missed-Me-.html ......I think some people might want to get their own portfolio up to scratch before handing out critique.
Good Luck Author !
Great!
(5 years and 3291 days ago)Really original idea!
(5 years and 3291 days ago)I do believe that you, MossyB, need to go back and reread my first comment. I see no problem with CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, it is just the way it has been approached lately on this site.I am sure that something positive can be found in every creation PRIOR to making suggestions on how to improve upon it. There is just a kinder way to go about it.
(5 years and 3291 days ago)There are other pieces in this competition alone that very well could have received critiques to help improve upon them, though nobody even started in on them. Were they not worthy of the same consideration? My whole point from my first comment was to enforce the fact that, while no piece of artwork is perfect, no piece of artwork should be considered exempt from a good word before being harshly criticized otherwise how it the artist to know that the piece is even worth their time to even bother.
As an end to my comment, just remember, if it is worth your time to judge an artists weak points, it should also be worth your time to enforce the positive aspects of the piece as well.
