Madonna Au Naturel

I used a few different references for this painting, the main influence being the Madonna del Sassoferrato, oil on copper, a painting by Giovanni Battista Salvi, which is a painting on display in the Vatican. Instead of replacing something, i removed.

grain elevator lost to time

its common to see grain elevators along the stretch of roads between one small town and another in our part of the country...some still in operation...this one...abandoned after a new state of the art elevator was constructed in a town 10 minutes from this one.

antique books from my collection...i love the really old ones...hand bound...yellowed irregular pages...the musty library smell..... The one featured open was copyrighted in 1894. the other 2 are from the early 1900's.
