Actually with close cropping, it is difficult to tell if it's in or out doors. May be in difficult cases, the Mods should ask for a SBS?

Great concept, but the composition is a bit lacking. There is so much negative space at the top of the photo, it is then visually disconcerting that the bottom of the card is cut off, with 2/3 of the face showing. The bottom face would have been better totally cropped to enhance the "lonely" feel of the facial expression, as would having all the other court cards in a gathering away from the jack, or a queen facing away from him, with another Jack facing her.

Technically, the focus is off on this photo, with both faces blurry, and only the center of card and the sash in the middle crisp and focused (auto focus?).

Should have won over the rest of the crap. Better luck next time!

This looks amazing author but a little too dark on the bottom? Maybe if you make the cake dress shown a little more it will be exquisite for sure!

Interesting composition, and nice shot....Just a 'nit-picky' thing? I might have chosen to crop just a tad off the top to just where the hair meets the forehead...leaving just a sliver of black there. This move would better fit the "golden rule" of composition and might make for a more interesting composition...

Can't make out the title, it's too dark and is lost in the background. Maybe a blood red outline stroke to help it stand out?

You don't have to get snippy. I still would be curious as to what it was even after seeing it's LEMON BALM. As someone that doesn't cook you can't expect people like that to konw that's an herb.
