that kid got the same glassy look in his eyes as frodo from the lord of the rings, i think it gives him a very wise/honest/innocent look. with the color adjustements or whatever you did to change the colors on the child, you enhanced that effect, its almost creepy (not a negative thing) great job also on blending those images together, the squirrel really completes the story in the picture.

Great find on the source images, and wonderful treatment to bring it up to this.

Adding yellow to the foreground & background just decreases the illusion of depth.

cool chop ...... maybe darker bkgd would be better
