fun idea, but if you're trying to simulate a tv news program, you might consider having the picture aspected like a tv screen (4:3)

Beware using the same object again and again; if it's two objects in 3-dimensional space, if they have the same perspective and angle but are in multiple places it messes with the eye.

try adding a little haze to the spaceship to simulate distance
