I see the difference yes, and I hate to be a total jerk, but would you please just take the suggestion and upload a high resolution!!!!? Everyone will be able to see what it really looks like and they'll be able to see how well you did with your work also. Please just listen to us, we know what the heck we are talking about!
(5 years and 2998 days ago)I'm sorry but I have a hard time believing this is real, especially without a high resoultion and the lighting on the pencil seems to be a bit off. I could be totally wrong, so could you please explain this? sorry but had to redflag
(5 years and 2998 days ago)I had no idea this was yours until now :O
(5 years and 2998 days ago)the mods won't take it away if you follow drivenslush's instructions. all it does is put a bigger picture for us to see. you see where it says "votes" "views" "favs" "sbs" "hi-res"? well right now it shows N/A under Hi-res but if you Go to MY STUFF ... MY CONTEST ENTRIES and EDIT ENTRY you'll be able to see at the bottom where it says "also save full resolution" Make sure that box is checked after you browse for the image again and then click "save changes" A mod will not remove it just for uploading a high resolution.
(5 years and 2998 days ago)I can see a slight difference, but not much.
(5 years and 2998 days ago)I just looked at the others in your SBS. There are some against white papers and it brings it out more. Just my opinion though. Possibly a different angle of the lighting would have helped?
(5 years and 2998 days ago)love it!
(5 years and 2999 days ago)simple but good
(5 years and 2999 days ago)agree with iquraishi, but it is still a great shot
(5 years and 2999 days ago)The piece is interesting, but I think a white background would have done this justice.
(5 years and 2999 days ago)For me, this picture is too busy and dark and I had a hard time figuring it out at first. Maybe if there was just one shell, or just more light.
(5 years and 2999 days ago)Have you tried bringing the saturation of the water color up a bit?
(5 years and 2999 days ago)I was wondering if you have tried bringing the saturation of the blue up a bit?
(5 years and 2999 days ago)I realize you can't retake this (unless you make another one for me but I would try to do what friiskiwi said and bring down the yellows and possibly bring up a tad bit of the blues; it may help make the shadow not so noticeable.
(5 years and 2999 days ago)yep, sounds the same. very nice lighting and overall photo.
(5 years and 2999 days ago)the overall quality of the photo really would look better if you trim it.
(5 years and 2999 days ago):O didn't even realize the cows! wow! This picture reminds me of when I went to Mexico. We fit 17 people in a small van. If you think about it, 17 people seems like a lot but honestly we could have fit so many more because only 2 of us were sitting on other's laps. I do have to say that we were INSIDE a van, so your picture is MUCH more dangerous. That thing could easily tip over.
(5 years and 2999 days ago)Have you tried cropping this at all? I would try cropping the rear view mirror out and also the bottom part where it seems there is some clothes in the windshield. I think it would be more dramatic if you did so. If you don't have a photo program, you can upload it to picnik.com and crop there free.
I think this could have been presented better. I would have moved the matches and all of the utensils around it and then came in closer to the cake so that the background would have been blurred. Possibly even put a plain tablecloth under it and had someone hold one side of the tablecloth up for your background.
(5 years and 2999 days ago)ooooh what is cornish clotted cream? It must be like whipped cream?
(5 years and 2999 days ago)very interesting...it does make me want to try one so the picture is inviting indeed.
(5 years and 2999 days ago)I think the blurred strawberry is fine...it is just the garnish, not the main part. Great lighting and dof!
(5 years and 2999 days ago)WHY!? OH my mouth is watering now!!!! This is my favorite! And I love it the way you make it too, just the way my mom used to---no bake.
(5 years and 2999 days ago)This is good but I'm wondering if the lighting could have been just a tad different? Maybe some type of fill light so there isn't a shadow on the front side of the cheesecake?
I would have done just one or the other in the shot and possible tried it at an angle, not straight down.
(5 years and 2999 days ago)I would put holes in it and put some wire from it to the necklace because at this point, it just looks like it is stuck on her neck, not from the necklace.
(5 years and 2999 days ago)I love the way all of this is put together. I don't think it is derogatory and I don't think the map is redundant. I think this is the best one so far and would look great on a t-shirt. I like how you also put the web address so people can go to the site to see what the shirt is all about!
(5 years and 3001 days ago)I think this would look cool if the map was your background
(5 years and 3001 days ago)I believe it would be considered profitable use since this contest pays "1st place: $5
(5 years and 3001 days ago)2nd place: $3
3rd place: $2" to the winners
so was it basically this method used? http://www.pxleyes.com/video-tutorial/photoshop/3219/Using-Selective-Color.html
(5 years and 3001 days ago)I just started working with photoshop so I don't know how yet. In Paint Shop Pro, I don't think they have that option. I'll have to go research how to do it.
(5 years and 3001 days ago)can you please explain how you got that color to be desaturated in the rest of the photo, as I am supposing there must have been those colors in the rest of the photo.
(5 years and 3002 days ago)hate to say this, but it looks like she doesn't even notice...
(5 years and 3006 days ago)and maybe you should add a high heel shoe on the foot so that it looks like some crazy dancer shoved her stilhetto into some perverts neck! lol
(5 years and 3006 days ago)natural soap and pure shea butter or emu oil daily
(5 years and 3010 days ago)wow! great job.
(5 years and 3012 days ago)with only her skin darkened, she could be Indian. IF in fact the author wanted her to look black/african-american, the nose would probably have to be widened a touch and the lips larger. The way it is though, she looks Indian/Persian or something like that. She is beautiful and the shading is wonderful.
(5 years and 3012 days ago)I have to say that I like the overall look of the first/original photo better. the surroundings are more natural in the redone one but the lighting isn't as good in my opinion. Great to see someone got this started though!
(5 years and 3013 days ago)there is still something oddly beautiful about this photo though.
(5 years and 3013 days ago)this is a wonderful picture! You wouldn't see that very often.
(5 years and 3014 days ago)let me rephrase that, where is your shadow?
(5 years and 3017 days ago)I think she is just a touch too dark
(5 years and 3017 days ago)I looked over in the rules and do not see anything on inverting. It is not selective; it is done as a whole so I'm thinking it is okay. There was recently a photo that was inverted that was allowed to stay I believe.
(5 years and 3017 days ago)this is absolutely wonderful!
(5 years and 3018 days ago)the "look" in the eyes draw ya in to the picture. sexy.
(5 years and 3018 days ago)cute!
(5 years and 3018 days ago)I thought the crop is perfect
(5 years and 3018 days ago)I wonder if there is an adult filter for this site though
(5 years and 3018 days ago)BTW, Rich says you are "quite the hairy dude" lol!
(5 years and 3021 days ago)DANG! Looks like I'm missing a bunch of happenings this week PLEASE don't offer anyone any produce though okay lol
(5 years and 3021 days ago)that is a cool house!
