Well taken, sharp image the colour palette is gorgeous and warm in a "fall" fashion but best of all is the communication shown between these two, it speaks volumes. The light is soft and diffused with no harsh shadows showing. A photo that warms our hearts.
(5 years and 388 days ago)I like the DOF and mood.
(5 years and 428 days ago)It was just a comment as I saw it,but your probarly right,we all have different points of view on things, thats what makes photography interesting and it is open to different interpretation.
(5 years and 432 days ago)Nice view, although pushing the water theme maybe a tad far though
(5 years and 438 days ago)Great to see you back
(5 years and 478 days ago)Welcome back. Enter more.
(5 years and 512 days ago)A sweet cooling photo, good connection between subject and photographer.
(5 years and 516 days ago)Where is the vendor? This is a nice, colourful image. Can a popcorn sign be called a vender/vendor as I thought it had to be a person who sells goods. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you.
(5 years and 518 days ago)An eye catcher using great dof that brings a smile to my face. Like the humour of this post.
(5 years and 518 days ago)You did a nice job on this. Thank you. I especially like the "look" she is giving you! Colourful and youthful photo.

(5 years and 1239 days ago)Cropping the photo may have been easier and better.
(5 years and 1345 days ago)Beautiful
(5 years and 2219 days ago)I see the Hummingbird, but part of the camo may be the low exposure
(5 years and 2380 days ago)Ok, seriously, it's a humming bird collecting nectar?
(5 years and 2381 days ago)The leaves are camouflaging each other?
(5 years and 2381 days ago)HA!
(5 years and 2381 days ago)It's must be well done, because I don't see what is camoufled here ... ^_^
(5 years and 2381 days ago)has chopping potential

(5 years and 2416 days ago)Congratulations on 1st place, a really outstanding photo.
(5 years and 2416 days ago)Nicely done, and a good choice og subject.
(5 years and 2417 days ago)I completely agree with Kyricom, even though it is spring over here and really had enough of winter I think this shot is a classic!
(5 years and 2417 days ago)Love it
(5 years and 2417 days ago)Why do we need to post the final result in the SBS, that is always done automatically.
(5 years and 2417 days ago)Nice shot. The weather and the road conditions help. I like the choice of B&W on this one too.
(5 years and 2418 days ago)You'll need to post 4 photos in the SBS in this order: 1. Original photo 2. Lightened to produce "overexposed" image 3. Overexposed image blurred out of focus. 4. The final result of how your image looks after you put them together
(5 years and 2419 days ago)Gorgeous!
(5 years and 2431 days ago)Gorgeous!
(5 years and 2431 days ago)Really love how you used negative spaces as the 'grid'. Clever and well done!
(5 years and 2431 days ago)Stunning work! Simple, but very effective!
(5 years and 2431 days ago)Nice. looks like the water level is low
(5 years and 2431 days ago)Moody blues. Very nice.
(5 years and 2432 days ago)Great!
(5 years and 2433 days ago)Wonderful
(5 years and 2435 days ago)Nice clean shot indeed. And I see some Dutch middle aged woman in a very typicall Bunschoten costume....kinda . Good luck!
(5 years and 2436 days ago)Ok, so let's watch the link ... On the picture you're talking about in you wikipedia link, isn't the tree placed on a line ? Can't we compare your wind mill to the tree ? And in the picture under ... aren't they showing "A picture cropped without and with the rule of thirds" ?
(5 years and 2436 days ago)Well ... Ok author, I don't insist ... It's your picture, do what you want with it. It was just an advice, just wanted to help. Never mind. Good luck !
Excuse me author but, or I am blind, or I'm very bad in geometry, but if you cut your picture with 3 verticaly and equaliy positionned lines, your main subject (at least the thing that catch the eye) is absolutely not on a third line ! And excuse me again author but the rule of thirds is justly to put the strongs elements of your picture on those lines. So, in a normal contest, no matter where your mill is placed but here, in a "rule of third" contest, I think it might have been better to use it to compose your photo.
(5 years and 2436 days ago)Looks like a big fat guy sitting on his sofa ! ^_^ Nice shot !
(5 years and 2437 days ago)You've used well the rule of third horizontaly, but why didn't you places the wind turbine on a third line ?
(5 years and 2437 days ago)Excellent choice to leave the 'ghosting' Adds life & movement to an otherwise rigid item. Beautiful light & color too.
(5 years and 2438 days ago)I like the effect of the fence. GL
