You should crop a Little bit from the left to loose the corner of the glass table.
(5 years and 2545 days ago)If your framing was a little bit higher (too much space on the top of the frame) maby you could include the rest of the reflections on the table .
A wonderful photo no matter what!
Fantastic lighting.
(5 years and 2546 days ago)My hat off!
So simple...so beautiful!!!
(5 years and 2549 days ago)Great framing.B&W was an excellent choice....
(5 years and 2560 days ago)Fantastic textures & colors!
(5 years and 2560 days ago)May be it's lens flare. It looks like the sun is against the camera (the sky at that point is a little blown out).
(5 years and 2560 days ago)May be....!!!!
I totally agree with Vibeke.Perfect framing, light metering, exposure(I really like the texture of the water) & the colors are so natural! This has to be the best photos I'v see from you author.Respect....
(5 years and 2561 days ago)Masterpiece .....
(5 years and 2561 days ago)Nice story telling photo with some room for improvement tho.
(5 years and 2564 days ago)The b/g (background) should be a better choice (something that looks like a road or an alley since they are the "mafia".
Lighting should be more "mysterious" IMHO & a wider frame so the sharpener on the top is included.
With a little more attention to some small details next time you will surely do better.
All the best author!!!
Much much better....
(5 years and 2564 days ago)The focus is on the flowers instead the lady...be careful with this small details!
(5 years and 2564 days ago)Different and clever.
(5 years and 2566 days ago)I don't know what are you shooting with, but keep in mind that flash washes away colors & creates nasty shadows if it's used directly on the subject/person.
(5 years and 2589 days ago)The theme asks for hearts,so it would be good to use a softer/warm light source to bring out the feeling...
Just an opinion.
So...the exposure was 15 sec & your model didn't move at all ( i can't see any motion blur )???
(5 years and 2590 days ago)Congrats to her...No one can't stay still for that long. This is an impossible shot!
Good luck
Can you please share your camera settings.
(5 years and 2591 days ago)Because of the poor light (candle lights) source you must have use a high ISO value or a small aperture number (F:1.8 or lower).
I don't see any digital noise in high resolution, that would be a result from a high ISO & the DOF (depth of field) is not shallow at all ( if small aperture number was used).
Excellent frame,light &clarity!!!
(5 years and 2591 days ago)Very minimalistic...
(5 years and 2606 days ago)Love the textures & shadow
The background choice is perfect. What is it?
(5 years and 2606 days ago)Nice focus on the pears & nice lighting!
Elegant.
(5 years and 2660 days ago)Great use of light.
(5 years and 2681 days ago)You manage to light perfectly a very thin object as a blade!
Fine piece of art I say...
Really nice natural back light on your model.
(5 years and 2704 days ago)I don't know if an other angle was possible (so you loose the white wall on the top & right of your frame).See your frame is well balanced (as it comes to black/gray/white tones) & those big white areas are a little bit distracting.
It doesn't mean that is bad .
Very nice light metering & really great deep blacks.
I wish you all the best.
What a shame...
(5 years and 2705 days ago)I just want you to know that your photo is not bad at all.
It's very nice the way it is now.
I love old stuff & ruins.
Best of luck!!!
I love A-Ha.Great music back then...!!!
(5 years and 2705 days ago)Summer moved on is my favorite song...
Is this bulb working?
If it does you could use the bulbs light to create a fantastic gradient effect over the background ( it looks like a "metallic" wallpaper ).I can see some small nails holding together those 2 pieces.
You could frame the bulb in one of the sides ( the way it is now is "dead center" ) left or right, keeping the rule of thirds & the light from the bulb will create lots of shadows ( bringing out the texture of the wall ) & a gradient effect ( strong light close to the bulb that fades out traveling on the wall ).
When some one has an idea ( in cartoons mostly ) the bulb "lights on".
If the bulb was ON it would fit perfectly with the idea you are trying to impress....
Just some thoughts IMHO.
I get your point.Thank you for explaining.
(5 years and 2705 days ago)Much better now indeed.
A bit underexposed i think (or it might be the shadows under & behind the bench that tricks me).
(5 years and 2705 days ago)If you had move a few steps back, you could include the whole fishing pole in your frame.
Nice b&w though.
Good luck with the finals!!!
The blown out highlights works perfect for this photo.
(5 years and 2708 days ago)Wonderful...
(5 years and 2708 days ago)Very nice colors & textures.
(5 years and 2715 days ago)All ways a pleasure to see you.
(5 years and 2718 days ago)Very nice juxtaposition of colors & textures!
Your hand is very delicate & hides a small movement.
The look....fantastic!!!
Congratulations Karol.
(5 years and 2720 days ago)What a fantastic portrait this is!!!!
B R A V O !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Increase contrast & dodge the highlights on her face to make them "pop up" from the rest of your photo(after increasing contrast you might loose some of the face...)IMHO!!!
(5 years and 2722 days ago)That way you'll have a fantastic low key photo.
I just tried it.
Open your photo in PS.
Image/Adjustments/Levels/Preset/Increase contrast 3
Then select the dodge tool.
Range:highlights/Exposure 55%
Done...!!!!
Great,great portrait!!!
(5 years and 2726 days ago)The cats expression is hilarious!!!!
(5 years and 2729 days ago)Very nice framing here (splitting the frame in three).
(5 years and 2737 days ago)The curves really add a lot!
Very nice bokeh on the background...
(5 years and 2738 days ago)I think that your frame is a little bit "tight"
(5 years and 2746 days ago)You could use some more "space" on the top & right of your frame!
Very nice colors & textures.
(5 years and 2747 days ago)It would be nice if you have place the colors in the middle of the wooden color palette to loose those "nasty" black holes (or at least one of them) but thats a minor detail!!!
Great lighting & focus!!!
Well done.
It looks you used the build-in flash of your camera.
(5 years and 2759 days ago)Since you don't have an external flash you could "enhance"the "quality" of the final image simply by placing a black sheet/paper behind the flower so you have at "least" a "homogeneous" background that makes your flower "pop-up".
Your photo has very nice colors (even if a "direct/harsh"light source was used) but the background is a little bit messy!!!
I'm impressed....
(5 years and 2760 days ago)Fantastic job!!!
If you could place your M&Ms in a "elliptical" order, the way your light source is,would create the phases of the moon.
(5 years and 2765 days ago)Good luck!!!
I like how you gave a three dimensional "perspective" in to a one dimensional drawing!!!
(5 years and 2765 days ago)Good luck.
Great details indeed!!!
(5 years and 2765 days ago)The caterpillar was an excellent idea!!!
(5 years and 2765 days ago)Totally agree with the details in high-res!!!
(5 years and 2765 days ago)I think that b&w does no justice in this photo.
(5 years and 2765 days ago)I believe that a color version would be better but thats just me!
Good luck!!!
I like the "movement" this photo "hides".
(5 years and 2765 days ago)I really like the small swords on green bears hands!
(5 years and 2765 days ago)Very nice use of light.
(5 years and 2768 days ago)Vivid colors !!!
Great mood you have capture here.
(5 years and 2768 days ago)A human figure ( at the end of the tunnel ) would make this even better but it doesn't mean it's bad the way it is now.
Excellent use of the diagonal crack (leading line & splitting the frame in two).
(5 years and 2771 days ago)
