This is good...still some room for improvements.I f i was you i would use a paper box with more "texture" for the walls (to give a wet / dark / scary surface). The "death row" nail is a clever idea.I would place a "power lever" & a nail "guard" some where in the "room".Placing a corner on your frame adds a lot (isolation) but you could use a wider frame to include the chairs legs.Color is good...mysterious / cold.Every thing else is great IMHO & i especially like the electric evacuation!
(5 years and 3234 days ago)Best of luck author.
Fantastic mood.
(5 years and 3235 days ago)Nice use of woods lines.Place them diagonal really worked!!
(5 years and 3235 days ago)Great focus on the nail.
A lot better author.
(5 years and 3237 days ago)I hate HDR's
Nice back lit rock.
(5 years and 3237 days ago)Great sky & the lens flare add a lot!!!
You could straight the horizon a bit tho.
Is that a NY written with the nails?
(5 years and 3238 days ago)Perfect focus & DOF!
Very good choice sir.It sure looks like a floor!!!
(5 years and 3241 days ago)Good luck.
Very nice robot you got here author.I especially like the "eyes".
(5 years and 3241 days ago)Background is all so very fitting.
What is it , if i may ask
Respect
(5 years and 3245 days ago)A R T ! ! !
(5 years and 3248 days ago)This could be a very colorful entry but unfortunately the colors are washed out from the "hard" flash!
(5 years and 3251 days ago)Check this link for an easy / cheap way to diffuse your camera's flash!.
http://content.photojojo.com/diy/diy-film-container-flash-diffuser/
It's really simple.
Respect...
(5 years and 3256 days ago)This is P E R F E C T !!!!!!
You did GREAT with make-up,lighting,pose,post-processing....
You must be a PRO!!!!!!!
I really have NO words for this...
This is amazing.
My regards author.
You are incredible!!!!!!!!
Scary..
(5 years and 3257 days ago)It looks like there's "evil" behind that door!!!
You got the mood right author.
The walls of the building are BOH (blow out highlights).
(5 years and 3259 days ago)It's when light is too strong on a surface that you loose detail.
You can avoid that either by selecting an other hour of the day (when light isn't THAT strong, afternoon maybe) or using Neutral Density Filters (ND) that reduces light of wavelengths or colors equally (and therefore do not effect the colour of the finished photo).
Those of course are technical details.
Over all this is a nice photo
Nice abstract!
(5 years and 3260 days ago)Even if the quality of the image isn't the best possible i must say that this is an "out of the box" thinking.
(5 years and 3261 days ago)Very good eye author!!!
Great composition author!
(5 years and 3261 days ago)Light brings out the colors very well.
Its a nice concept author but it lacks of preparation & presentation.
(5 years and 3261 days ago)Since you came up with this you should find a glass bottle to place the oil inside(plastic looks "cheap".All so you shouldn't fire the flash "straight" towards the bottle because you have some "hot spots" on the bottle which is quite distracting! If you don't have an external flash you can try this...(i did it when i didn't own an external flash).
You can direct the flash from your camera (build in) using small f (f.e f3 or f4) plumbers tubes .All you need is i straight piece & 1 or 2 corners & you can direct the light right/left/above/behind your composition!
That worked for me back then.
Just an idea to improve your lighting next time.
Great texture & color!!!
(5 years and 3261 days ago)Lmao
(5 years and 3262 days ago)Actually is not...
(5 years and 3263 days ago)A polarizing filter, used both in color and black and white photography, filters out light polarized perpendicularly to the axis of the filter. This has three applications in photography: it reduces reflections from some surfaces, it can darken the sky and it saturates the image more by eliminating unwanted reflections.
Oh...
(5 years and 3263 days ago)I am honored sir!!!!
Genesis could be an alternative tittle for this one.
(5 years and 3263 days ago)The "right" tittle helps a lot your photo & the viewer to understand the feeling you want to impress.
Creates an interlude / atmosphere.
Egg light is just ...an egg with light in it...
Genesis is the creation of life inside the egg...the miracle of life before our eyes!!!
Its a nice idea author.
GL
It looks like you used a flash for this shot.Flash creates "nasty" shadows (in this case).
(5 years and 3264 days ago)You should use flash if you want to reveal/hide parts of your composition. If you want to create a sense of mystery, let the viewers imagination travel though your photograph flash is the best choice you can have but in this case is not.You could use a lamp or any other light source, lighting the subject from left or right or even from above or behind !The background is white & makes it hard for your composition to stand out "pop out" & manifested.
Of course this is only my opinion.GL
You did great with the lighting.
(5 years and 3264 days ago)I all so like the choice of the b/g (background).
Nice texture of the pear.
Rotate the image 2.6 degrees clockwise so it's straight.
(5 years and 3266 days ago)You blown out your highlights a bit but it's still a nice composition .
Great presentation.
(5 years and 3266 days ago)Meaningful , touching!!!
I really believe that the blue light you use here "spoils" the mood of your composition...
(5 years and 3267 days ago)You got wood, horn & a very nice set on your table.
You need a warm / well coming light here.
Blue is just tooo "cold"!
Classic...
(5 years and 3268 days ago)Great mood.
(5 years and 3269 days ago)You should use your old phone on the OLD PHONE contest 3 weeks ago!!!
Nice old phone & lamp!
I really like the shadows on the wall!
(5 years and 3270 days ago)Great lighting & mood.
(5 years and 3270 days ago)Feels like i am in a blacksmiths workshop!!!

(5 years and 3271 days ago)................................necklace!!!!
The Corinth Canal (Greek: ΔιώÏυγα της ΚοÏίνθου) is a canal that connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnesian peninsula from the Greek mainland, thus effectively making the former an island. The canal is 6.3 kilometres (3.9 mi) in length and was built between 1881 and 1893.
(5 years and 3271 days ago)Several rulers in antiquity dreamed of cutting a canal through the Isthmus.[citation needed] The first to propose such an undertaking was the tyrant Periander in the 7th century BC.He abandoned the project due to technical difficulties, and instead constructed a simpler and less costly overland portage road, named Diolkos.According to another theory, Periander feared that a canal would have robbed Corinth of its dominating role as entrepôt for goods. Remnants of the Diolkos still exist next to the modern canal.
The modern attempt at construction began in the 1870s following the successful opening of the Suez Canal. A French company was hired to build it, but due to financial difficulties, the company ceased work after only the two ends had been dug. Finally, in 1881 the Hungarian architects István Türr and Béla Gerster, who had also been involved with early surveys for the Panama Canal, were hired to plan a new canal. A Greek company led by Andreas Syngros (the main contractor being Antonis Matsas) ultimately took over the project and completed it in 1893.
On April 7, 2010, Australian daredevil Robbie Maddison performed a motocross jump over the canal.
The Corinth Canal is considered a great technical achievement for its time. It saves the 700-kilometre (430 mi) journey around the Peloponnesus for smaller ships, but since it is only 24 metres (79 ft) wide it is too narrow for modern ocean freighters. The canal is nowadays mostly used by tourist ships; 11,000 ships per year travel through the waterway. The water in the canal is 8 metres (26 ft) deep. At the maximum, the walls are 52 metres high.
Funny & very clever author!
(5 years and 3273 days ago)The blur on the bottom right adds to the "paparazzi" look of the photo IMHO!
(5 years and 3274 days ago)Lovely "paparazzi" photo author!!!
(5 years and 3274 days ago)Author...
(5 years and 3274 days ago)I guess that this is a set up / composition (theres no way that old phone has that kind of headphones, how silly of me )which is a good one (creative enough for my taste).
Since it's a composition i think that that the whole phone & headphones should be on the frame ( a wider frame that includes both of them).
The way the photo looks now is like it's a snap shot (like you didn't had the time to frame it the way you wanted).I don't know if you can re-shoot it but if you can i suggest a wider frame (IMHO)!
All so a have a question about the background. Is it a piece of white paper?
P E N E T R A T I N G .........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(5 years and 3275 days ago)Little "monsters" playing with a "monster".
(5 years and 3276 days ago)Look at their eyes...full of "curiosity"
Guy in green : "Look all of this buttons"
Guy in blue : Yeah...cool!!!!
Guy in green : "Should we being doing this?"
Guy in blue : Go ahead...push the button...no one will see us (waaahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!)
Cute little guys author
Oh...
(5 years and 3278 days ago)Someone wrote my nickname on a tree!!!!!
It's OK my friend...
(5 years and 3280 days ago)No worries!!!
At least you create a piece of ART & not just a snapshot.
Only you.
(5 years and 3282 days ago)No one else has THAT blue eye!!!
Yeah right....
(5 years and 3283 days ago)Stop being ironic & grow up man!
(5 years and 3283 days ago)The back drop is not the best choice here.
(5 years and 3283 days ago)Because of the material is been made, the shadows (of chair & model) created by the light source gives the impression that this photo is "over edit" (which is NOT).
There is some "notion blur" on models hair (if you use an external flash i doubt that, but if you use just a light source you should use a higher shutter speed to avoid that) or it could just be the shallow DOF(if you focus on the models body with a f : 4.0 or lower).
I hope i am not hard on you author & i wish you good luck!!!
There is all so an other way instead of crop (cropping will loose the lowest part of the crystal & it would look "ugly".
(5 years and 3283 days ago)Set your light metering to "spot" (so your camera gets light only from the crystal).
That way you increase the shutter speed & the background gets all black.
Lean you crystal with the following way...
Use a toothpick & 2 small pieces of your adhesive tack & place them "behind" the crystal.
Is this the newest version of NERO?
(5 years and 3286 days ago)You liked it?
I want to buy it too so your opinion counts....
Nice framing & mood author.
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Nicely composed!
(5 years and 3294 days ago)You got the mood right.
