Those things are gross. We usually don't get to see in their mouths, as they are usually attached to some poor fish - but it is kind of symmetrical and pretty. Might crop a little closer on the mouth, but a cool shot

Actually, I think I like the DOF and the duck being a little out of focus. Gives it depth. Looks like the duck is considering whether to come closer or not

I like this. It does have a wide DOF, but the tip of the blade is focused. It almost looks like the shadow is the blade and it cut a piece of paper.

Don't use water drops... or your own real blood...corn syrup, red food coloring, and a touch of cocoa powder makes great fake blood!
