Not ants, "Ant Lions." But yes, they are all over Florida. Ant Lions hunt and eat ants. They dig those funnel like shapes in the sand and bury themselves under the sand at the bottom. The ant falls in but when it tries to climb out the sand collapses and draws them down to the waiting Ant Lion's jaws. If you have kids, don't let them play in the sand there. Ant Lion's bites aren't deadly or anything, but they will cause an itchy rash all over their body. I grew up in Florida, this is the voice of experience speaking!

oooooo... yummy. That's some fast food I could get into. Back around 1975 there was a Dunkin Donuts near us. That was back when they actually made the donuts in shop right in front of you. We would stop in around three in the morning (after ummmm... working late... yeah, that's it) and get hot, fresh donuts. They were SOOOOOOOO good!!!
