A stupid and dangerous habit. Takes approximately 14 extra feet (4m) to stop when drunk. Takes approximately an extra 72 feet (23m) to stop when texting!!!!!!!! We hate drunk drivers, but somehow wink and nod at texting. It is now illegal to text while driving in 39 of the 50 states in the US. I guess the other 11 are just stupid.

Man, hit this nail on the head. It kills me how folks in my classes would rather text than actually speak to the person they've been sitting right next to for the last 15 weeks.
