(5 years and 923 days ago)BIG CONGRATULATIONS on this mouthwatering win.
Really a great shot. You have come down to the dog's eye level and the image is sharp sharp sharp, without oversharpening. Your tonal contrasts are nicely done as well. Best of all you have captured an emotion and that really rocks my boat. Top notch. I predict a winner here.
(5 years and 924 days ago)Congrats !
(5 years and 925 days ago)Well done, made me hungry this

(5 years and 928 days ago)Close enough to make my mouth water and to offer you my fearless prediction...that this is a winner shot. It has everything in it...heat, texture, sharpness, focus, focal point and of course lusciousness.

(5 years and 932 days ago)I Love the simple-ness (if that's even a word ) of this shot!
(5 years and 932 days ago)Well done
(5 years and 934 days ago)Nice idea! Beautifully done.
(5 years and 938 days ago)Perfect because it is thought provoking. Well taken, with focus on exactly what you wanted to show us and tell us. Different, together and clasping. Your artistic bend is evident.
(5 years and 939 days ago)The combination of colours looks nice!
(5 years and 939 days ago)Dust spots on sensors can be seen in sky aspect of image. I like the angle of this shot and many focal points catch our eyes.

(5 years and 940 days ago)Great! There is even the shadow here!
(5 years and 949 days ago)G R O A N on the joke! That is what this site needs, more humour! I love this not only for the joke but for the colour of yellow and blue. You have it nicely cropped, the image is sharp "as a woman's tongue" simple , strong.
(5 years and 950 days ago)Great photo
(5 years and 952 days ago)congratulations
(5 years and 957 days ago)Lots to love about this shot. The silhouette is striking, the diagonal exciting, the colour palette warm hued. Just lovely.
(5 years and 960 days ago)I understand the lack of sharpness because your final assembly is only 473 pixels in width and it is enlarged at 200% to appear on the website. On the other hand, even in high resolution photo 2 is blurred.
(5 years and 963 days ago)The photos 1 and 3 shown in the SBS have lost their sharpness in the assembly and photo 2 is really blurred... what a pity !
(5 years and 963 days ago)I was completely drawn to the sharpness of his "white" fur on his nose....it's all about the patterns that drew me to the center of the image. Can you see you have a dust spot on your sensor? (the bane of all photographers). It is on the bottom, our L....close to the margin line. Have you tried a bit tighter crop on the L but still leaving breathing space? That diagonal line that slides right into the frame gives a rather nice visual feel of sliding into the shot. Your exposure is nice giving good detail in shadow aspect of photograph. WOOF!
(5 years and 963 days ago)I like everything about this post. The sinuousness delights the eye with curves that take us on a visual ride through the image with the detailed scales being hugged from all sides and that adds to the boa constrictor feel, furthermore all those curves exude a feeling of aliveness. Also, the fact you used a nice border implies that this snake is held "in" and we can safely study it...that border acts like a protective mechanism. I do think that the dof and focus is sharp and the hues, which I find warm and inviting, further hold us deeply in this presentation.
(5 years and 964 days ago)I like your sense of humour....you light up this site.
(5 years and 964 days ago)Congratulations, a great action shot
(5 years and 964 days ago)Congrats Mark
(5 years and 964 days ago)A natural born photographic genius....I'm jealous.
(5 years and 965 days ago)Just a perfect action shot. I wonder what was your shutter speed? Have you thought of a bit of a tighter crop to eliminate that white letter S which sucks energy out of the main focal point?
(5 years and 965 days ago)KISS principle (and I am a sucker for KISS). Simple and strong and full of great initial visual impact. Smart to include the diagonal for extra visual oooomph.
(5 years and 965 days ago)Top notch in my books. Action brilliantly caught, sharp "as a woman's tongue" , a wonderful story easily seen.
(5 years and 965 days ago)Do you remember in photography school how our profs used to tell us never to shoot anything from behind? Well, pfffffffft to that and this image proves that we ought to break rules as they are only for fools. I love the story of this photo, the anticipation, the alertness of that dog and no amount of muck in the world is going to stop him from going....any moment now...soon.
(5 years and 966 days ago)Minimum of 3 images must be used and posted in SBS.
(5 years and 967 days ago)I love pup in mud
(5 years and 971 days ago)Its so beautiful to read a short brief of him and the huge love that they have been holding inside. Good luck author
(5 years and 973 days ago)good stop action shot, would though crop a tad of the right in this, even though it would cut down the wash behind
(5 years and 975 days ago)LOL
(5 years and 976 days ago)Dog's mouth?
(5 years and 980 days ago)You can have the tequila, I'll drink the rest.
