Just love the dynamic tension that you have created with this well comoposed photograph. The smallness of the church to the vastness of land around it and the tonal colours make this image a stand out.
(5 years and 504 days ago)well done for 2 and 3
(5 years and 508 days ago)YAY for #2 and #3.
(5 years and 508 days ago)Congratulations to you. I liked this one.
(5 years and 508 days ago)Crop is a tad tight but oh my what a great romantic you are.
(5 years and 510 days ago)OH GAWD SAVE ME. Top notch for tormenting me.
(5 years and 510 days ago)Eye catching with the background colours complimenting the colours of the rusty ring.
(5 years and 511 days ago)Good to include the side of that run down barn as it fills out the story of this rusty "almost new" vehicle.
(5 years and 511 days ago)Congrats Kyricom
(5 years and 515 days ago)I have a big problem shooting black things, or things on a black background like this one. Do you have a tip ? my camera goes crazy, the autofocus buzzes along and instead of black I get grey. I tried to google my problem but I only got solutions about black and white photos
well done for this action shot and the winner
(5 years and 515 days ago)well done for this
(5 years and 515 days ago)Big Congrats on number one!
(5 years and 515 days ago)Thank you for that, appreciate your suggestions.
(5 years and 516 days ago)Did you have a guide or did you see those little fingerprints yourself? In some parts of the world, you will continue to see child's hands labouring....sad to say.
(5 years and 516 days ago)What do you use for the black background? I use a Muslin cloth but oftentimes it shows dust, and threads etc. Is this construction papaer?
(5 years and 516 days ago)fair enough
(5 years and 516 days ago)Interesting subject this but can,t see the rust
(5 years and 517 days ago)Thank you for that link.
(5 years and 517 days ago)Thank you for the historical background, appreciated. What a sad history you have. I will now wikipedia this site. It is too bad that an earthquake, then a storm levelled the two flank buildings. Very interesting read and it would be fascinating to visit this building. I also like the way you presented this upload, has a flavour of romanticism to it.
(5 years and 517 days ago)Mmmmmm like the warm feel and the thoughtful presentation. This is a photo made, not a photo shot.
(5 years and 517 days ago)I like the artistic composition of this presentation, nice and sharp too and thank you for your notes. I always enjoy reading what an author has to say about their uploads, enriches the experience for me!
(5 years and 517 days ago)Great shutter speed.
(5 years and 517 days ago)View in high res? really... your joking? right
(5 years and 524 days ago)think this needed cropping to make the door more of a feature
(5 years and 525 days ago)God close-up and like the oily hands shown
(5 years and 525 days ago)Unusual photo,but like it
(5 years and 525 days ago)Maybe suggest more contests
(5 years and 528 days ago)Some of us didn't want to break our cameras Not many participating in these contests lately and that is sad....what could be done to make this pxyleyes site more "vibrant"?
(5 years and 529 days ago)well defined winner
(5 years and 529 days ago)Congrats also on number two as well
(5 years and 529 days ago)Congratulations on this win. It was a winner in my eyes!
(5 years and 529 days ago)Glad to see the question burning was answered.
(5 years and 531 days ago)....until they read National Geographic or joined Pxleyes.
(5 years and 532 days ago)Going on holiday and applying for a new passport?
(5 years and 532 days ago)Aha.. that's so true.. I know people who claim to be photographers and shoot with nothing more than their phone, poor souls.
(5 years and 532 days ago)everybody is a photographer until......
(5 years and 532 days ago)until what..
Oh... don't blame the mirror..... :‑)
(5 years and 534 days ago)Now, why couldn't I have thought of that!? I like it in monochrome and your expression further gives us pause as we try to figure out why that intensity...sharp and clear and tight crop holds us in the frame.
(5 years and 534 days ago)Clever. This is the kind of image, if hanging in a Photo Exhibition, would cause people to stop and study it closer. Perfectly rendered and a highly emotive photograph. Just as an aside, your dilemma does not only extend to you and your job but it seems it is the culture, the norm nowadays. Be grateful that you do not live in a country where lese-majeste rules, for it would be instant imprisonment anywhere from three to fifteen years.
(5 years and 534 days ago)Nice shot this
(5 years and 534 days ago)This looks very inviting and I see you punched up the saturation to give it a surreal magical feel, it works. See those orange punches of bright light on the left of the image, they take our eyes away from your main focal pop? Eliminating those through a tighter crop would benefit your photograph and take us straight to this lovely "home away from home" image.
(5 years and 535 days ago)Unique cup deserves to be number one!
(5 years and 535 days ago)Congrats on your win !
(5 years and 535 days ago)congrats for winning
(5 years and 536 days ago)Congrats for this one
(5 years and 536 days ago)Someone in this world knows how to have fun and keep love alive. I love this image for the clarity it shows, the story. A sharper DOF would have rendered the entire image in sharpness (the red rose) but it is a winner in my eyes.
(5 years and 541 days ago)A very unusual teacup. I want one.
(5 years and 542 days ago)Think I would have been tempted to find a different viewpoint as it slightly blends in with the trees, always worth trying different viewpoints
(5 years and 548 days ago)YAY YAY YAY your son won ! Congrats
(5 years and 550 days ago)I know all about "drafted against his will"....I have a husband who gets drafted all the time
(5 years and 551 days ago)
