I'm glad there was no object in front of it. It would have detracted from the wonderful clarity of the shot. This is stunning and beautiful just as it is. Excellent capture!

I tried to get the moon close to the horizon, but got side tracked and it was almost behind the horizon. It was such a big beautiful orange moon. Got up early the next morning to get it. But the moon was still very high in the sky at 6am, and by the time it set, it was daylight. guess I will have to wait till next year. Did get some photos very similar to yours, but my moon is turned the other way (180 degrees rotation) LOL

But then again we can also say that the items chosen were those which you randomly happened to have around at that time. So your contrived Surrealism is also a function of your limited material reality

Very nice composition, but I would have cropped the right a bit more. The larger buildings on the left have more visual "weight," so the image seems a bit too heavy on that side.
