The bright orange tractor is a wonderful counterpoint for the old building. I think I would have been tempted to "green up" the raw earth so the rusted building is more dominant. Perhaps not.
(5 years and 647 days ago)LOL... no, I missed those two Mark
(5 years and 647 days ago)Congrats for winning this one
(5 years and 647 days ago)congrats for this one
(5 years and 647 days ago)Congrats
(5 years and 647 days ago)Congrats!
(5 years and 647 days ago)Congrats Mark, I make it 27
(5 years and 648 days ago)Congrats Mark, nice shot
(5 years and 648 days ago)Ah this is classy a very nice still life. I would not have minded to see the entire light fixture in the frame but that is just me.
(5 years and 653 days ago)This follows the KISS principle...simple and strong. Very nice.
(5 years and 654 days ago)Yes, they are and all I can think of is apple crumble. Like now you used the dof creatively and filled the frame. Good catch.
(5 years and 654 days ago)Yes, they are and all I can think of is apple crumble. Like now you used the dof creatively and filled the frame. Good catch.
(5 years and 654 days ago)Simple but works for this, well colorfull
(5 years and 654 days ago)lOVED THIS ONE...CONGRATS
(5 years and 655 days ago)This photograph made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, memories brought back to me ....thank you.
(5 years and 656 days ago)Now this is a moon and did you take it with that humungous lens? Love the detail shown, clear and well done.
(5 years and 657 days ago)Hmmm a photo of a photo? I like Milton's quote:
(5 years and 658 days ago)"Your mind is it's own place and can create a heaven of hell or a hell out of heaven."
The artistry of your eye is evident with the cup of tea in the background to give us a visual journey of delight. Nice composition. The technical elements are well done with good contrast shown, natural colour, sharp in focus. The background could be more level but that is strictly my own opinion and I bow to your artistic prerogative. Sweet upload (get it?)
(5 years and 658 days ago)Well well well, top marks for this shot that gave me a belly laugh. I remember hiking the Annapurna trail in the Himalayas and we passed a photographer who had to hire a sherpa guide to carry his lens...that is what this image reminds me of...you have resurrected a memory for me and it was Tolstoy that said if an emotion has been elicited then art has been created. Your photograph is sharp "as a woman's tongue"...set up in an environment that marries well with the title. Top marks for this photograph.
(5 years and 658 days ago)So this is what affluent litter looks like. I think a different POV would have strengthened the overall presentation of this photo...remember when you change your pov you change the entire photo oftentimes for the better. This pov is ordinary albeit appropriate. Sharp clear focus and good exposure and contrast.
(5 years and 664 days ago)I feel the saturation is overdone in this shot. It is something that I know I am guilty of but when the bard roof come out bright blue I think it is too much. fabulously sharp fence posts and wire insulators.
(5 years and 684 days ago)I really like the diagonal composition. As the image is entitled Hoar Frost I would have preferred a greater depth of field to see more frost clearly.
(5 years and 684 days ago)I like it when an hdr really doesn't look like an hdr but has a special sparkle. This image is sharp in areas with a nice dynamic range of tones. The composition on a diagonal rocks! yay.
(5 years and 685 days ago)A pastoral scene of field with rickety fence somewhat unkempt and has a feel of better days. I like how you popped the colours in this high dynamic range image and kept the sharpness on the fence with some softness in through the background.
(5 years and 685 days ago)I like the minimalist approach to this one, it is shocking.
(5 years and 686 days ago)I didn't know that ! ! ! ! Thank you for enlightening (light...get it) me. I also like your photo for the patterns that catch our eye and you do have a black background.
(5 years and 691 days ago)Full of romance and nice sharpness too, but it is the romance that made it for me!
(5 years and 691 days ago)Again - less is more - a very effective image. Simple and clear. Great shot.
(5 years and 693 days ago)Clear tight composition. Good contrast between the glass vase and the background.
(5 years and 693 days ago)Nice swirly movement here. Easy on the eye.
(5 years and 693 days ago)Oh so cliche, not that cliche is bad, it is just that it has been done before. Clean lovely photograph that is sharp with a wonderful colour palette. IT is Goooooooood!
(5 years and 712 days ago)Lovely simple lines and curves. Nice shot.
(5 years and 715 days ago)Nice shot. Has the saturation been overdone - its something I am guilty of and try to watch that I don't 'overcook' the colour.
(5 years and 723 days ago)A happy snappy photograph great for the family album and remembering this moment. Your two look a bit blurred but it could be a strong wind.
(5 years and 723 days ago)Great colours and colour contrasts. The image would be improved in my opinion with a crop from just below the shoreline to just above the dark cloud that goes right across the image. This would emphasize the horizontal lines in the image.
(5 years and 726 days ago)Excellent with the sun and the colour on the water. The spiky tuft of grass and its mirror image are really good. I feel, however, that the middle ground between the tuft of grass and the far tree line is lost. I think it would be better all in sharp focus.
(5 years and 726 days ago)Good shot - lovely vivid colours and super reflection on the water. I always feel that these shots are improved with something in the foreground - a boat, a person etc.
(5 years and 726 days ago)Y'know, every time we travel out of Thailand we get American Bills. Countries we travel to, like China, Nepal, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Borneo will not accept old bills, they all have to be clean, with no writing and spanking new....what a pain.
(5 years and 726 days ago)My mom and dad used to do that...now I do it too. It's from the 'old country'. It works for me everytime...YOU WILL have good luck, honest.
(5 years and 726 days ago)There is always another side to the coin I must remember that...Thank you.
(5 years and 726 days ago)Nice way you treated this photo, looks like you are quite set for awhile. I love the clarity on the back bills and was looking closely at them wondering if they are real or fake money.
(5 years and 726 days ago)Nice dof manipulation. We also blow on the penny when we find it...don't you?
(5 years and 726 days ago)Nice colors but too blurry...
(5 years and 727 days ago)You have a big pocket !
(5 years and 727 days ago)Fragile little planet here encased in loving hues of life....peachy orange excitiing colours. I think you need to clone out the seam.
(5 years and 727 days ago)I think you needed to remove the seam with this contest, to blend it better. This can be done with clone brush (something I just figured out...
(5 years and 727 days ago)A nice moody image, it calms our beating hearts.
(5 years and 727 days ago)I like this for the mood, it feels warm, calming ...a promise of a day yet to be born. The tree at the side gives nice sense of scale. Lovely.
(5 years and 727 days ago)OH DEAR, that ocean is going to end up on my keyboard...you have a significant tilt on your horizon line. The centered sun would have been better had you followed the rule of 3 and the horizon cut line dead center also weakens a very lovely sunset scene.
(5 years and 727 days ago)There are still some people nowadays believe that we live on flat Earth, (I should've made one).
